Five are in the correct spot, and those five are all in a row, in order.

That should help *a lot*

Then my eyes and ears, contrary to my doc's opinion are still holding up.

I don't have the sheets...

But I did some combinatorics. The chance that the top 6 bands would randomly draw to the last 6 spots is 1/924 or 0.108%.

think the chance that the top 5 bands draw into the last 6 is 1/132, or 0.758%.

Highlight of the night for me is the University of Houston's rendition of "Industry Baby" by Lil Nas X. That song is tailor made to be a marching band banger lol

Yes … my daughter and friends play it this year as a stand tune … it is fabulous !

I believe it's the same judges for finals tomorrow. Does anyone know if they judge the same caption or do they switch around like at Area?

Really??  I thought the judges had to be completely different??

The judges are mostly the same, but different captions--a change from prior years.

It's really the best way to do it with every classification competing for states this year.

Without sheets here's my guess.

1. Cedar Park

2. Rouse

3. Leander

4. Highland Park

5. Wakeland

6. Aledo

7. Forney

8. Hendrickson

9. Friendswood

10. McCallum

11. Dripping Springs

12. Colleyville Heritage

I think this is very much in the ballpark but it will be so interesting to see where things land when it’s all done. I am too nervous to venture a guess. Dang…stacked final with also some notable bands missing.

All of these shows are so unique…the judges have their work cut out for them. It really was a fantastic day of stunning performances. And one of my favorite parts was hearing from all the drum majors at the end. Band kids truly are the best kids!!

I’m part of lone star and man we are all so disappointed, we thought we had threw down a solid run. Congrats to all that advanced.

Y’all BLEW ME AWAY at BOA DFW! You should be so proud of the season you’ve had!!

Y’all were amazing!!! It’s just every band is soooo good this year, which makes it harder, but y’all’s run definitely threw down!!!

It is crazy (in a good way) that bands are BETTER after Covid. This year’s 5A prelim was soo good!

I think you are being a bit biased.
