  1. I realllly love Coppell’s show. Also Grand Oaks was probably my favorite in A class.
  2. Lots of huge scores in Indiana finals. I wonder if Centerville will be promoted like Bellbrook was last year. Noblesville wouldn’t look out of place in world class either, and apparently they started the season in A class 🫣. Also nice to Brownsburg shoot way up and break 80. I don’t think I would agree with Avon being quite that high because there were a good amount of uncharacteristic mistakes compare to prelims, but I DO agree with Fishers jumping way up.
  3. Carmel and Avon were both shakier than prelims, but obviously still incredible. This is the most I’ve connected with a Carmel show in the post-Rosie Queen era, and I really liked last year’s. I find it really moving and more interesting and risk-taking thematically. Avon’s show is definitely special, but I also think TWHS’ is pretty special too. Excited to see how things play out in Dayton!
  4. Fishers is so good. Proving that last year was just a fluke.
  5. When I heard that Avon 3 pointed Carmel last week, I guess I expected something weaker from Carmel, but that was incredible. Funny that they both heavily incorporated fabric into their shows.
  6. Fantastic start to SW in Indiana! Avon, Center Grove, and Fishers are all stronger than last year. The way Avon incorporated all the fabric into the work was truly magical. Shout out to Center Grove for giving the most confident performance I’ve seen from them in a few years.
  7. Love Centerville. Their design is always on point.
  8. Is this what the prophecy foretold????? Congrats Avon!!! This is such a long time coming, wow.
  9. Blue Springs’ show is so unique with its pacing and staging. Imo, it is very effective. All the elements of an Eagle winning performance are there, they just need a higher level of musical demand and stronger ensemble moments. I still think the narration at the very end is too long, I thought it was going to end like five different times but it just kept going lol.
  10. Crazy that a band that good wasn’t top three in semis. Thank you Hebron for continuing to defy what should be possible.
  11. William Mason is the epitome of current day Cartwright visual effect. The synchronization of all the flags and the added layer of the big skirts on the band is so impressive. Though, the show feels too similar to last year for me to have them any higher than 5th tonight. Kinda feel like I’ve seen the show before even though I haven’t.
  12. Carmel. Musical masterpiece. The visual perfectly highlights the music, it truly feels like one.
  13. Avon does simultaneous demand better than anyone, very dci vibes all around. That weapon line is insane and is perfectly staged through the entire show.
  14. TWHS is a visual FEAST. That flag work is infinitely cleaner and more effective than what any other band is putting out there, I’ve truly never seen anything that good. It’s also SO satisfying seeing all those feet in time and the effect it creates with the uniform.
  15. Fishers does a really great job at featuring tons of different music and visual ideas without it feeling cluttered or out of place.
  16. Did he say that Keller’s show is called “Asylum” 😂😂 I will never get tired of that Mahler ending. And those mello sustains. And that last note was incredible. And they had drum major podiums. Ok I’m done.
  17. Pearland firing on all cylinders! Such a great balance of music and visual impact.
