Coppell's veils and aesthetic are just stunning. Lake Travis's props are the textbook definition of simple and effective, and they sound so powerful. LD Bell's visual program is so cool, love the way they deconstruct the tarp thing in the middle of the field and move it around. Haltom was a blast with some really nice ensemble moments and body work. Stephen F. Austin was so pretty, best show from them in a long time. Three in the top 7, 6 bands out of 14 finalist qualifiers, a first time appearance in a finals for Southlake Carroll. Just incredible! When Haltom played them back in the day in football, we went to their stadium one year. Their entire crowd went almost silent, when Haltom band took the field. They watched and cheered and were just plain wonderful. Honestly? One of the best experiences at an away game for us in seven years of band parenting. Ever since I've held them and their band in a special place in my heart, pulling for them, as they've progressed. So let me just say...WAY TO GO, SLC! You are awesome! So excited for you!
