I figured I would start a thread for an unprecedented amount of marching contests being cancelled on the same day!! I'll try to keep this updated as best as possible with the most accurate information I have. MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

Bands Of America Waco Regional - Cancelled

Birdville ISD Marching Contest - Cancelled

DeSoto Marching Classic - Cancelled

Don Hanna Memorial Marching Contest in Denton - Cancelled

McKinney Marching Invitational - Cancelled (Rescheduled for November 3rd)

Plano East Marching Invitational - Cancelled

Ponder Marching Classic - Cancelled

I checked the weather for the Katy Contest tomorrow and there’s only a 10% chance between 3-6 pm

The rain this year has been insane. Where I am (College Station) it seems like there have only been 5 days since September it hasn't rained. Hopefully it stops soon, all these cancelled performances and contests are heartbreaking.

That’s the benefit of having a competition at the star st Frisco. The us bands contest won’t be cancelled, ideal venue or not. All you need is a roof this fall and the star has that:)

 

This may be the first season I haven’t made a single contest. The rain is great, but I obviously wouldn’t do well in Seattle.

Marcus band is in route to Waco. The weather in Dallas is terrible. Good thoughts that we make it safely and BOA is still going when we get there. (I’m a band mom/chaperone, BTW).

Rarely rescheduled. Weekends at this point of the season are pretty filled up

Too tough. The only contests that will get rescheduled are UIL Region or Area contests.

I pray you all get home safe (not sure if you are turning around and driving back now that it is cancelled or attending some band clinics still).   I can't imagine that drive

has been very good at all.

We went into the Red Oak Wal-Mart for an hour to shelter. We’re headed back to Dallas now. It’s been a wild Saturday! The kids have been really patient. I wish we could’ve marched but we had fun at ##BOAWalmart.

Waco cancellation was crap. Fortunately Cedar Park still got to play today as exhibition at the Texas Marching Classic in Kelly Reeves Stadium this evening. They looked great.
