I feel like Reedy is cleaner but centennial's has more effect. I'd personally take BC, but it's really gonna depend on the run each has. Reedy won't be under the heat, but they will probably be a little more tired with that earlier call time. -

Forney was at the HEB and scored a 75.90 in finals, placing 7th Sachse was 4th in finals at Wylie and 14th in prelims at BOA Bedford from yesterday, scoring a 73.95 Duncanville competed yesterday at US Bands Dallas, placing 5th win an 82.60 -
yeah, it's just weird bc they did well in music minus WWS but their visual scores have been low all season. It say's on the site they are using area/state judging sheets; does anyone know if it's the new area system that's been used or the 7 judge from state? Either way I think they have a very strong show at 1st which would be huge for the program. They sound great but really need to lock in on marching

Yeah, I'd say 11. Liberty 12. Memorial 13. Lovejoy 14. TC 15. Melissa for Lovejoy it's literally just their marching bc they are killing it musically for the most part which always sucks -

1. Waxahachie 2. Forney 3. Rockwall 4. Sachse/D-Ville 5. D-ville/Sachse 6. Rockwall Heath 7. Lake Highlands 8. North Forney 9. Berkner 10. JJ Pearce (maybe higher?) I'd say this is more of my list of finalists rather than actual placements, could see Tyler Legacy or Richardson slip in as well -

Yes, but it's still going to be very hard. Lots of bands here having their best seasons to date. Here's my midseason predictions: 1. Wakeland 2. Lone Star 3. Lebanon Trail 4. Argyle 5. Mckinney North 6. Reedy 7. Independence 8. Walnut Grove 9. Heritage 10. Emerson --- 11. Liberty 12. Memorial Yeah have no idea how this will go. I think I'd say my top 7 are locks for me, would be surprised about no WG but those last two have lots of potential bands that could take them. This could be THE area B of all times -

Alright everyone, here are my final predictions for this competition after yesterday: 1. Marcus 2. Wakeland 3. Prosper 4. Coppell 5. Lone Star 6. SLC 7. Wylie 8. Mckinney 9. Lebanon Trail 10. Braswell 11. Forney 12. Burleson Centennial/Reedy A. 1. Commerce (sweep) 2. Whitesboro AAA 1. Wakeland (probably a sweep) 2. Lone Start 3. Lebanon Trail AAAA 1. Marcus (sweep) 2. Prosper 3. Coppell On the bubble: Rockwall, Mckinney North, Walnut Grove, This past weekend has just made this comp even more competitive. Have 0 clue how this will shake out, 2nd-4th could go either of 3 ways with how close they were at Bedford, and really those last two to three spots could be filled by like 6-8 different bands here, but this is what my gut says -
Okay we back! So ummm yeah, Wylie just got screwed over lol. Still so happy for LT but I don't think that this means Wylie is in a bad spot. Here's a little recap on the other bands I missed: Argyle: Wow, they are not letting off the gas. At this point idk how the judges will decide between them, MN,LT and Reedy for state bc wow they sound and look amazing. Just such a big sound, and ofc visually they are always strong. LT: Yeah soooo, they were not happy about last season. At this point, I think they've got 3rd place at area in the bag unless they have a band run but I'm happy they've been pacing out the show, hoping to see more in a few days at Prosper. They have such a huge field presence, those soloists, especially the Oboe, just so good. Visual package is so demanding, so much GE, they are bringing the heat, will probably make state finals Heath: Another band building off new momentum from last season. Just a wall of sound, that opener gave me chills. Love the theming and use of the props. Very cool show should do very well at area. Reedy: Guys they want state so bad. It sucks they have such an early performance time but even so I think they are a really strong contender for finals at prosper, which would give them so much momentum into area. I mean they are just so clean musically, the end was a little rough, but they got it back together. Rockwall: Wow wow wow!! @Meatballmax07, that solo was phenomenal. They have such a big sound. I think though that the crazy drill, which is so mesmerizing, is at times causing some inconsistency in the sound, but still plenty time to clean. A very strong show and could def make state. Mckinney North: Just what you would expect from them at this point. Huge sound, amazing soloists, but again imo to much soloing and not enough band. I do think that they might have to change styles under the new judging system, maybe. But they are just as strong as ever, really entertaining show. Mckinney: OMG!!! They probably would have won if they were competing. Wall Of Sound. I was not ready for that opening impact, they are gonna do soooo well this coming weekend. If area J took 5, they would be the 5th, I think. Soloists were fantastic, and visually so much going on. Lots of super cool bodywork, and wow that guard. Really happy to see them doing so well. But yeah, a great night, congrats again to everyone!!
