  1. OMG Pearland!!! This is by far one of my favorite show of the season, not only because of how amazing they look and sound, but the emotion that they add to their performance, you have my heart Pearland, and getting so watch your journey to the level of success ya’ll have now has been so magical. They do beyond justice to Pines of Rome, just wow. That opener is so powerful, and I love what they do with the symbol line on the back sideline with the little fighting scenes until they come on field, and great job Sax sextet. That ballad is so so pretty, and that ending is just so massive. Some looseness in the high brass a little bit, but I’m sure they will tighten up tomorrow, can’t wait to watch that one last time, fantastic job Pearland!!
  2. MY GOODNESS HEBRON!! (Hebro my B)!!! For sure in gold contention, much cleaner as well than Saturday night, and my goodness their ensemble sound is unlike any other. Might tighter in the trumpet feature in the second movement, and those WW’s are just running through those licks like it’s nothing. Enigma ballad is just chefs kiss, that Flute and Trumpet soloists have some unreal sounds. Love the rocky point, great work tubas, and visually much cleaner, just a couple feet issues, but I’m sure they will fix any tomorrow, amazing job Hawk band!!
  3. WOW North Shore!!! What an insanely massive sound, my Goodness!! First time seeing their whole show and was left blown away. Haven’t seen there whole show till now but I see why they were second at area because my goodness what a sound, both from soloists and the ensemble, and visually very pleasing, plenty of hypnotic references, great job NSS, definitely not counting them out of finals!!
  4. So many performances with Shakos falling off today lol, Dripping Springs had like 5 members lose theirs lol, ig another theme of the day 😂
  5. Gosh this Westlake show is just go gorgeous, and they performed SO well!! The pre show design is so well, that choreography is so welly designed, but their execution is flawless. Great job Flute duet going into that opening hit. Super pretty ballad, that Trumpet soloist has such a great tone. Love me some Bright Blue, and they played it so well for their closer. Visually just so outstanding, the uniforms work so well, and that guard is Amazing!!! Another potential finalist for sure, amazing job Westlake!!
  6. Yeah, I see no reason why Seven Lakes couldn't perform again, because what a killer performance!! They have definitely built off of making finals at SA, and very well might do it here. The musical maturity of this group is insane, WHAT an opening statement!! Such a great ballad, the use of the prop is so effective, and my goodness that closer is just Sooooo effective and strong. Soloists great all around, love me some tuba solos, and the flute in the ballad is so pretty. Visually very strong as well, but if we don't see them again, congratulations on your historic season 7L, and on today's performance!!
  7. Alrighty everyone, I am back for the rest of prelims and awards
  8. No, I meant their performance time. Going first at a comp this deep and making finals is something very hard to do
  9. YES!!! They have so many hidden details, love it so much!’
  10. Alrighty everyone, that does it for me till the final block. I forgor I have a leadership meeting for Bugwb tonight so I might miss the first couple of bands in block 5, hoping were done in time for me to at least listen to D-ville, GL to everyone I'll be missing!!
  11. Imo was by far much better than this past weekend, you could tell from the performs reactions that it was much better, a lot tighter in the closer and other places where they weren't so much at boa
  12. Great showing from CTJ!! Though I don't understand the concept of the show (it's prob just me), they sound fantastic!! Great sounds from the brass in the opener, really big presence. Great work from the brass quartet in the ballad, though it seemed like there were a couple minor timing issues? (prob just me again), great work from the Sprano, really mature sound. Visually very solid, love the callback to 2017/29 in the high brass during the closer. I'm kind of getting a tribute type show feeling but if someone knows please do explain. Regardless of how their season went, I fully expect them to be back on top within a season or two, amazing job CTJ!
  13. Yeah, I was blown away by the demand of that show, but they executed very well!
  14. Okay Permian, we see you!! I see why they won music at the west Texas boa comp because boy can they play, some Hebron 2019 in there (don't know the specific piece lol), but they killed those licks, supper pretty ballad as well, and visually very clean, oh and that opening hit is massive, amazing joy ya'll!!
  15. WOODLANDS!!! Gosh that show is so much Fun!!! Amazing work from the soloists going into that opening hit. Such a jazzy and groovy sound, and they are so good at staying together despite the multiple rapid entrances and releases the show has. Great job in the ballad, though rip the Sparano on the first long sustain, but great recovery at the end, was super solid the rest of it, some insane licks. Really love that low brass feature, only 7 tubas yet they pump out such a big and mature sound, oh and let's not forgot that Awesome guard, HOLY COW!! It's more of a theatrical production than anything, yet with so many moving parts (literally), can't wait to see that again, amazing job TW's!!
  16. Oh Southlake, you have my heart, this is one of my favorite shows of all time, and if that was your last run, thank you for bringing us that magical show!! Great job brass in the opener, and that WW small ensemble, ya'll have been incredible all season long! Really love the visual design of this show, s much bodywork with them "swimming" around, love the big fish set, just so much from a design standpoint that they nailed and executed so well! Beautiful work in the ballad, the Flugelhorn soloist is so good, percussion rocked their feature, and guard was great, amazing performance Dragon Band!!
  17. WAXAHACHIE, MY EARS!! 😂😂 Those mikes were struggling lol, because that brass was LOUD, thought maybe just a tad bit at times. Still a great sound, great work small brass ensemble in the ballad, very mature sounds, and that sax player is Insane!! Really love the visual aspect, from the big W to the members acting like they're using a hammer during the sax feature, very effective writing, but yeah I wouldn't be surprised at all if they make finals, really strong performance, great job Waxahachie!!
  18. Oh, what a beautiful show from Bridgeland!! The visual aspect of the show is just so spectacular, the big crossing lines at the end was so clean. Great musical performance, some really pretty moments from those WWs, and oh that ballad really is touching. Percussion is insane, they are just shredding their notes, a little bit of dirt in the high brass but nothing major, would be pretty surprised if we don't see them again tomorrow, and I think with a stronger performance, but they were fantastic today, amazing job Bridgeland!!
  19. Well........someone clearly wasn't happy with how SA went because that performance was night and day for Vandegrift, HOLY COW!!!!! Yeah umm I see no reason why they can't win, because that was the performance they wanted to have this past weekend. Not many words, I'm just in awe oh how much they cleaned up in 2 days, I mean WOW. So clean, musically and visually, love that show so much. Soloists were great, closer was so much tighter, dance team was great, fantastic performance Viper band!!
  20. Amazing job by everyone in the first two blocks, as @maxin459, those NFHS mics are struggling to keep up with raw power these schools have, really great work all around!
  21. Super cool show from Clear Brook, and a great run!! First time seeing the whole show and am super impressed with the musical level these kids are playing at!! That battery is so crisp and clean, I get all the rave about them for sure. Great sounds from the ensemble, soloists were great, but just a big sound from that brass, though a couple moments of over-excitement, but I get it, it's a super cool show. Love the ending with the member in the spinning prop, great effect, and those uniforms are so sick, great job today Clear Brook!!
  22. Were only supposed to get the finalists, yet it seems the sheets always gets leaked, though I don't encourage it as UIL has specifically asked people not to, as well as the Mods for the site
  23. PROSPER!!! Wow, they are coming in hot! Lovely work from the Flute and C-net going into that Massive opener, my goodness brass!! They are really moving in that second movement, WW's killing those difficult passages. Love me that Barber ballad, a classic but they performed it so so well, great work Oboe! Love that closer so so much, again brass really brining the heat, a couple minor music errors but nothing major, really love the ending with them cutting off and coming back with such a dynamical push to the end of each phrase. Percussion was on fire as well, yeah, I'm definitely not counting them out of finals, awesome job Might Eagle band!!
  24. Ronald Reagan SHOWED OUT!!! Love this show so so much, beautiful opener, love their use or Requiem, lots of power in the brass, and my goodness that high brass feature was SO CLEAN! Love the ballad, such cool effect with the brass in the back corner, and they are doing such a great job with timing, not allowing for the distance to create any musical discrepancies between them and the front ensemble, great job. Super cool closer with the wings on the guard, soloists were super strong and oh, I think they've got a pretty big guard, that's also really good! Such a cool show, one of my favorites of theirs, amazing job Rattler band!!
  25. What a showing from Klein Oak!! I see why they did so well at Boa this year, because that show is filled with emotional effect. Super strong presence from their ensemble, those Mellos were heard, great work with those runs. Lovely work from the soloists, and some really great visual work, and a great message being conveyed, amazing job Klein Oak!!
