  1. Wow Celina!! Cute preshow with the Fur Elise, great opening hit. Great work Trumpet and C-nets in the ballad, just such a pretty and mature sound, guard added some nice effect as well. Really strong closer as well, just such a musically amazing group, and they look amazing as well. I do think maybe, just maybe, there's a little bit of wiggle room, but wouldn't be surprised at all if they take the 3-peat, fantastic performance Celina Bobcats!!
  2. Great performance from North Lamar!! First band to perform this morning and still made finals, something really hard to do, thankfully they got rewarded with a good performance time. Big opening hit, super pretty ballad, and an awesome closer, love the trombone duet and small brass ensemble. Some really cool drill writing, and just a super fun show, amazing job North Lamar!!
  3. Super strong performance from Calallen!! Preshow is super cool, and great opening hit, maybe a little overexcitement in the tubas, could have just been the mics. Again, great use of Dance of Vengeance, super cool effect with the brass playing getting bigger, and great job WW's on those licks. Amazing job Sprano in the ballad, love the effect of the screen. Drum feature was great, and a super strong closing, wonderful job Calallen!
  4. Also thanks for the live reports @Liam Allen, wish I was there
  5. Gosh I'm so happy West Plains made the night show, because that run was stellar!! One of my favorite shows, and boy do they do it justice. Big, powerful sounds in that opener, great control in the brass. Great work with Blue Shades, that Clarinet soloist is insane, great job sax as well. Super pretty ballad, and great job in the closer pushing through, high brass popped off! For a school in their third year of existence, they are already looking to be a consistent finalist here, fantastic job West Plains!!
  6. Congratulations to Gatesville on your first finals appearance!! Such a lovely show, that ballad is just so so pretty, love the dance break, that Sax solo is killer, and the Let's go Fly a Kite ending really brings the whole show together. Some really cool visual moments as well, great effect with the props there at the end, great job Gatesville!!
  7. What a showing from Canyon to get things started!! Love the Son Lux opener, they played it so well, and great job sax quintet. Great sounds form the brass in the Romeo and Juliet dance section, really controlled but present sounds. Super pretty ballad, that Trumpet has such a lively tone, and amazing closer going back to the Son Lux. Guard was fantastic as well, some great story telling to bring the story to life, amazing job Canyon!!

  9. MY GOONESS Sulphur Springs, what a run!! Super cool preshow and great work soloists going into the massive hit. Woodwinds killing those licks, and what a powerful ballad!! Some more Asphalt Cocktail, but they absolutely nailed it. Another group with some serious medal potential for sure, but wow what a sound, brass brining the heat, amazing job!! I will unfortunately be missing all of b Well, that concludes block 2. These 4A programs have been killing it today, some really awesome stuff! I will unfortunately be missing all of block 3, but ik everyone will do great! here's my rankings for this block: Sulphur Springs China Spring Randall Floresville Farmersville Valley View Pecos Stafford Needville
  10. Congratulations to Stafford on your first appearance at state!! Loved the show, classic firebird ending, great job!!

  14. okay that's what I thought it was lol, they had and said Spring on NFHS so I didn't know if I was wrong the whole time, fixed it though
  15. OMG CHINA SPRING!! Super strong run, musically and visually. Love how they've got custom uniforms today, really is effective. Love the different smile sets throughout, very clean and some strong individual technique. Musically so powerful, soloists are top level, WW"s killing those difficult passages and the brass has such a big sound. Another group that could for sure medal if not win tonight, the top is going to be really close, amazing job Chain Spring!!

  18. Such an awesome performance from Randall!! Love the musical selections, and visually one of the cleanest of the day. Trumpet soloists was nails in the ballad, and that brass really packs a punch, I see why they've had such a great season, could for sure see them again, amazing job ya'll!!
  19. these are my personal, though I'm sure they'll be very wrong lol: Panther Creek Calallen Bridge-City West Plains North Lamar Burnet Gatesville Pleasant Grove AC Jones Marble Falls
  20. I do agree that it wasn't their best, I think still top half, but if they have a stronger run and get a good time, I see them at least medaling tonight
  21. PANTHER CREEK!!! The fact that this is only their third year in existence, and they are this good is just insane. Amazing job Sprano going into that opening hit, and lovely work brass in the second movement. Such a beautiful ballad, that Trumpet has such a great tone, and that closer really packs a punch. Their individual marching technique is so so clean, some minor things in the drill/guard, but with a cleaner run tonight I see no reason why they can't take home the gold, fantastic job!!
  22. What a showing from Bridge City!! Such great musical sounds from this group, those WW"s were killing those technical runs. Mature sounds from the Euph and Trombone soloists, and great presence from the brass. Really enjoyed that performance, would love to a second time, great job!!
  23. Holy Smokes Calallen, what a super cool show!! Great use of Dance of Vengeance, love how the brass sections slowly enter one after the other, great job C-net solo. Super pretty ballad using Toxic, and that drumline feature is super sick, Heck Yeah Basses! Super strong visually as well, and the screen prop is great effect, though can be a little distracting at times only because the cool pictures, and a couple mic issues, the C-net on reminded me of Hebron at Bedford in 18 prelims (IYKYK), but a super strong performance, could see them tonight for sure, wonderful job!!
  24. Strong showing from Burnet!! Love the musical selections, Wine Dark Sea is one of my favorites, and they played it so well. Great job Sprano soloists in the ballad, and a strong push into the final moments. Great visually as well, loved the guard pre-show, amazing job!!
