All I know is that I think Bridgeland will win. I've seen Cinco Ranch and NSS and have been very impressed with both. I'm sure both CYs are cooking as well but I agree with the lists ya'll have been making in terms of finalist, how no idea how placements will fall except probably 1 Bridgeland and 2 Cy-Fair. Super excited to see how this one goes, best of luck to everyone this week!

Here's my final prediction for this comp, have not seen most of these bands: 1. Ronald Reagan 2. Westlake 3. Dripping Springs 4. McNeil 5. James Bowie 6. CTJ 7. MG Johnson 7. Hendrickson 8. Brandies 9. Foster 10. Jordan 11. Hutto 12. Piper/Winston Churchill As far as captions, no clue. I'd imagine Reagan will sweep but honestly, I could Westlake maybe taking music or visual, or heck maybe the win, idk. They had a fantastic showing yesterday at Austin. This is gonna be a great comp and I'm super excited to see how it shakes out.

Just got home lol gotta say I don’t really agree with scores overall, mainly CR, and round rock in 10th? Obv I dint watch finals but overall scores seem a tad low, but then again Avon and an 84 something so it doesn’t seem to be wrong but idk, I’m no judge so what do I know. Regardless, congrats to Vandy on the wing to everyone else who performed today!

I agree about Ridge. Not totally surprised considering the depth of this comp but still a little shocked. Congrats to all the finals and class champions, happy everyone gets a second performance!

Yes Vandy could def win and I think it’s a toss up between Bolton and McCallum for 12th, both were very good and it could go either way. Great job to everyone who performed this morning and afternoon!!

Vandegrift HS-Gaia's Embrace: Im not gonna lie, I’m not a huge fan of this show. Visually very strong with some minor spacing issues, but musically it’s lacking a little for me, especially in terms of variety in style. Still will probably win but I don’t think it’s 100% locked. Still fantastic performance Viper band

McCallum HS-Gothic Renaissance: nice show from McCallum! Loved how they used Fur Elise, woodwinds nailed their licks. Definitely one of their stronger show of recent years, ballad was great, loved the bone soloist. Visually very clean as well, great job Mac Band!!

Rouse HS-The Liminal Space: Rouse house just brought it!!! Trumpet quartet was killer into that huge wall of sound. I love the new uniforms. Visually so good, lots of different visuals that add great GE, but I can’t get over how they sounded. So much power but so controlled. Gonna be another amazing season from them, fantastic job Rouse!!

Westlake HS-Urban Jungle: what an awesome show!! Visuals in the pre show were great, loved the member interacting with the guard. Woodwinds killing those licks in the second movement. Ballad was amazing, trombone soloist was killer. Visually some small dirt but that guard was stellar. This will be a great show to watch over the season, amazing job Westlake!!

Leander HS-Curiouser and Curiouser: A very fun and interesting show from Leander!! Musically I love it, lots of variety and some technical licks executed very well. Visually very nice as well. I do as y’all probably do as well have mixed feelings about the screens. Adds some nice ge for storytelling but can be distracting at times. I think if they were backfield it wouldn’t be as bad but still a cool addition. Also idk if that was a generator or what but what ever was making that loud sound the entire time needs to be fixed pls. Amazing job Leander!!!

Lake Travis HS-Les Misérables: Beyond the Page: Another very nice show from LT! Some nice technical moments blended with some more lyrical stuff. Very pretty ballad, trumpet solo was nails. Visually fairly clean, not my favorite of theirs but should be another good season for them, great job cavalier band!!

Vista Ridge HS- perfect imperfections: Insane. First off, the amount of visual GE is ridiculous. From the start with the right half of the arch doing visuals while the left was standing still, from certain cover downs having a member out of the form, I mean there’s just so much, oh and they sound so good as well. So much power in the sound, features were very clean. This could very much win tonight, love this show a ton. Amazing job ranger band!!!

Cedar Park HS-Listen: Classic CP right there. Musically so so good, executing at such a high level already. Soloist were phenomenal, plenty of musical contrast. Visually clean, plenty of GE in the drill. Just very strong all around, amazing job Timberwolf band
