  1. Anything is possible, and both bands are having incredible seasons, I just don't know how likely it is on this field, but if this wasn't the SASR, I'd say they'd both have super high chances, but again anything can happen with a super strong performance
  2. Strong showing from Bell! Really love how they mix in the Kingfishers in with the other pieces. Supper pretty ballad, soloists were amazing all around, and some great work from the guard, good job today Bell!!
  3. Well, as to no surprise, Hebron was nothing short of what the best in the country are. From start to finish, it was simply magical. I really love this show, not only because its being executed on such a high level, but because it's one of their "easier" shows (for their standards) which has allowed them to be so much cleaner and it really shows. Drill was nearly flawless, and they sounded just unreal, that Enigma ballad, so emotional. And their guard has built off their success from the last WGI season, and it's showing. It's going to be tight for the top spot, but I wouldn't be surprised if they take it, outstanding job Hebron
  4. Great job Mckinney!! Box5 doesn't due the bands volume justice, because they have some power! Love the trombone feature after that powerful opener, super pretty sounds from the Flugelhorn. Guard was SO good, great use of the tarps to create some GE, awesome performance Mckinney!
  5. It's still crazy that this school is only in its 4th year of existence, and they already (and have since the school opened) so good!! Have really enjoyed seeing the evolution of their show of the season, super pretty ballad, really cool effect with the flute duet, which has been nails all season long. Love this visual work a lot as well, great job today, Rock Hill!
  6. Good morning, College Park!! First viewing of this show and wow what a musical performance! Super great sounds from the group, very beautiful ballad, trumpet and flute soloist nailed it, great job today!!
  7. Solid showing from Wylie East! Love the Asphalt Cocktail, some super cool visual moments throughout, great job ya'll!
  8. That was INSANE Marcus, for an 8 am performance. They are still the Marcus marching concert band and will be till the end of time. The musical maturity and sounds this group continues to produce year after year is something that will always be super magical. They play with so well everything: dynamics, contrasts in dark and light sounds, top notch soloists, an unreal drumline, you name it, they do it. The brass feature at the start of the second movement, unreal. Not to mention that insane guard, the double flag work in the ballad was just so beautiful. Love finally getting to see the whole show, and the props are a really cool effect. Such a stunning performance, fantastic job Marcus!
  9. Super impressive performance from Dawson!! Love this visual design of this show so much, lots of vis GE with the different visuals/bodywork. Super cool moment in the ballad with the guard circling around the smaller circle the band has created, really effective design. Musically, yeah, I see why they won Honor band, because these kids can play. Amazing flute soloist throughout, a couple of entrance timing issues in the start of the ballad with the saxes, but their ensemble sound is super mature and very bright, really big brass sound but very controlled. Great job ya'll!
  10. Wow The Woodlands, wow wow wow!!! As to no surprise, the guard stole the show away, at least for me. Just an insane amount of double rifle work and extremely high tosses that is nothing short of easy for them. Soloists all around were great, loved the small ensemble going into the opening hit. Super pretty ballad, that Sparano was on fire. Really great low brass feature, for only having 7 this year those tubas are heard, WW feature was super clean, some challenging technical passages they just nailed. I do think they've got a stronger run in them tonight, but that was just fantastic, amazing job TW!
  11. Good morning everyone! Time for day two, good luck to everyone competing today!!
  12. First time seeing Tom Glenn this season and really enjoyed that performance!! I see why they did so well this season because they have come a long way in how they look and sound. Great musical presence, both from soloists and the ensemble as a whole, with plenty of showcasing of each section. Some cool visual moments, but was really impressed with their sound, especially given their size, great job Glenn!
  13. I do agree with you, hopefully tomorrow is closer to that level of performance of state finals
  14. Yep, that's how you do it Cedar Park!! Such a powerful opener, really great work going between the brass and WW's. Great flute solo, been on point all season long. Such a mature sound from the Trombone, and such a beautiful ballad, just wow. Great brass moments during the Barber symphony going into the closing movement. The presence this band has on the field is truly something special, and visually so clean. The bodywork is this show is so fun, and they are executing at a top level. I do feel like they've got a stronger performance in them, and have no doubt we will see that tomorrow, amazing job CP!
  15. Another great performance by Hendrickson!! The visual work of this show is insane, so much individual and ensemble demand, and they are executing so well. Lovely sounds from the Flute duet going into the opener, great WW and brass feature. Earth song is such a pretty ballad, and that Euphonium soloists has been nailing it all season long! A couple minor discrepancies in the big line forms during the drum break, but other than that super solid showing, great job today Henny!
  16. Wow Lake Travis, SO much improvement from the last time I saw them!!! Beautiful euphonium solo going into the opening impact, great job with the rotating snowflake. I love how they make Battle of the Ice a brighter piece, great WW feature. Such a pretty ballad, that soprano sax plays with such maturity, and a super big closer. Guard brought so much, loved the flag work throughout, amazing job today!!
  17. Cool show from O'Connor! Love that ballad a lot, super pretty sounding soloists!
  18. JBA bringing the heat today! Really inspiring message with tons of great musical moments throughout. Soloists were on fire, and my goodness guard, some amazing writing they've done for them which really helps elevate the show. Tons of visual ge, great job with the forms spelling the different words, super strong performance!
  19. Great showing from Sharyland! Really mature sounds from the Trombone soloist going into the opening hit. Great sounds form the WW's with dance of vengeance. Beautiful euphonium solo in the ballad, yeah, I see why they scored well in percussion at state because that battery feature was really solid. Visually pretty clean, some cool moments in the drill, great work ya'll!!
  20. Solid showing from Weiss!! Visually very clean, good work on the cover downs on the big curve forms. A couple tunning issues but overall, really good sounds, loved that WW feature during the second movement, super pretty ballad, great job ya'll!
  21. Cute show from Veterans Memorial to get things started here! Good sound for their size, Sparano soloists was on fire!
  22. Good morning everyone! We are here live on Box5 for the San Antonio super regional! I'll be on today for the first two blocks and all day tomorrow! If you buy the prelims/finals, it does include both days of prelims and finals for a much cheaper price! Good luck to everyone competing this weekend!
  23. I wouldn’t be to quick to count out FlowerMound for 2nd or 1st, especially seeing how the US bands comp went and how close they were to Hebron.
  24. They were ahead of them all season in 21 and 22, so a good amount, at least since Covid, but yeah state and SASR this weekend will be crazy
