FloMo and Marcus BOTH make finals at Grand Nats? WHAT A PREDICTION!!!!

I know this topic is about Grand Nats, but it's BOA SA that will be most interesting to me this year! Avon can definitely win in Indiana, but I can't wait to see if they'll also win in San Antonio. Obviously, they CAN win there, but will they??? I'm so glad they're making the trip down. The pot, so to speak, WILL be stirred!

Ok, I'm feeling sorely tempted!! But my former band kid/current college kid will probably want to come too. She's at Texas State so I can just pick her up on my way down. Something to consider for sure.

That Cedar Park stat is incorrect for San Antonio. I'm sure they had quite a jump by BOA SA, but obviously they did not have a higher score than FloMo.

I would love to have known what the margin would have been had they had an incomplete show like the rest of us. They would have won, no doubt about that, but I'm curious as to what the actual margin would have been had they only had the same amount of show as the rest of us.

The delete thing drives me crazy too. Can't one of the Daniels fix that?!

After seeing you guys on Saturday, I totally think you can overtake Wando!!!!!! You guys had my favorite show of the night next to CTJ! Tarpon....not sure enough yet. They may be suffering after Hurricane Irma.

Round Rock just beat us (Leander) on Saturday, so I am anxious to see how it all plays out going forward. Especially after each of the programs has a complete show and more time to polish! I know Round Rock is getting set for Grand Nats, so I expect them to do really well from here on out. I'm still in love with Leander's show, though. I'm sure that is partly my bias of course, but I do just really love it! I hope they'll do better in Conroe finals. We always tend to do really well in prelims (we were 2nd place overall on Saturday in prelims behind CTJ), only to fall a bit in finals. I'm hoping to see that trend stop now!

There is a small admission fee, I'm sorry to say. It is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Funds raised go to all of LISD fine arts departments. It starts at 6:30 and is at Bible Stadium at Leander High School on Bagdad Road.

Ohhh, that's awesome. Now if only Leander ISD would send something similar out today before LISD Festival of Bands tonight!

Haha, you crack me up Daniel. So many things to reply to! 1. YES to the disgustingness of cherries on top of ANYTHING! Leave them off!! ICK! 2. I didn't notice you being any more roasted than anyone else really, tho you were pretty red. I just figured you were on FIRE from the whole BOA Austin experience...because lemme tell ya, it was hot in EVERY way on Saturday! 3. Four Bush's tender roll sandwiches, Daniel???!! WOW! That's some serious love right there. I get it, tho. I definitely feasted on some kettle corn on Saturday. YUM! 4. CTJ totally deserved first place. They were remarkable. Hands down favorite all over the stadium. Can't wait to see their progression this season. 5. Prairie View A&M was the most fun thing I've heard and seen in a long time. Just YES, in every way. It was a pleasure meeting you Daniel, as well as seeing and speaking with Daniel Sanchez again. And I encourage everyone that gets a chance to definitely take the time to introduce yourselves to the TX BANDS staff. These guys work real jobs and still find the time to devote themselves wholeheartedly to Texas high school marching band in all its glory. And suffocating heat. Thank you guys for all you do to further spread the band love in Texas. See you all next weekend!

Sure did and it was totally worth getting up early for. They were a great band and we saw some real potential in them. Absolutely loved their show!

Yep, Leander took 2nd in prelims. We always seem to slip a bit at finals, and I never really can see an obvious reason for that. Keeps things interesting for sure!
