LostChoirGuy Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 I'm sad I have missed the performances so far, but I'm hoping to catch the top half. Quote
J-Mike16 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 I lost my jaw somewhere at the start of their show and I STILL CAN NOT find it!!!! Lone Star, Yall are phenomenal!! FHorn26 1 Quote
MikeKyu Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Lonestar This theme cracks me up! It is such an enjoyable show. Great articulation in the opener throughout the ensemble. High brass is really playng well together! Yeah tuba soloist!! Guard:: You were moving faster than I-35 at the close. Awesome job Lonestar celesta and Dallas Hobbs 2 Quote
Tubalord11 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Way to go Lone Star!!! Other than a couple musical errors, that run was INCREDIBLE!!! Guard is great, and that percussion is awesome as always!!! That sax solo during the "Tank" feature is sooo freaking good!!! Huge opening statement, really clean yet difficult drill, just a great and super entertaining show all around, great job Lone Star!! Quote
TrebleMaker2 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 That was just a delight, Lone Star! I love the whole concept of this show! Quote

MikeKyu Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Hendrickson This show has come a very long way and ya'll should be extremely proud. Lots of hard work went into this performance. Awesome glissando in the opener and tight tongueing in the 2nd piece by the brass. Great ensemble sound after the trumpet quartet. The guard's double flag work was excellent in the ballad. The percussion laid down one heck of a run this afternoon! Quote
J-Mike16 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Okay Hendrickson!!! I hear yall!!!!!! That bari sax solo at the end was electrifying!!! What a wonderful performance!! Quote
J-Mike16 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Currently here are how I place the first 6 bands, Lone Star Hendrickson Friendswood Richland Roma Lebanon Trail Quote
TrebleMaker2 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Wow, that Hendrickson show left me breathless just watching! So much going on everywhere! I love that so much thought went into every aspect-this show is dynamite! Quote
lost Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Hendrickson is always a treat. I am reminded of the judges comment from early season where she said pink was not a power color. I think that it is and Hendrickson proves it. ChristopherRoden and celesta 2 Quote
Tubalord11 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Fantastic performance from Hendrickson!! Great soloist all around, really cool drill and guard was great, wonderful job Henny! Quote

They have no reason to favor any band, and they have spent many years of their lives studyingthe nuances of performance. Their task is to award the best product they can and to encourage excellence and give suggestions for improvement. Our task is to support ALL bands, encourage as we can. Criticism needs to be constructive and delivered in a manner which is open to friendly discussion. We may be disappointed with results, but there are ways to express that in a gentler way. Let’s just enjoy theperformances and appreciate each student’s journey! 100% We don't need bad vibes in the marching band community. Good vibes is what has made it great. Opinions are typically jaded by bands you support. We shouldn't let that turn into criticism of other programs. We all know how hard each one of these bands worked regardless of whether they made a 1 or a 3 at UIL Region. Tailgate88, ViewFromTheBox, DaRen and 2 others 5 Quote

Popular Post MikeKyu Posted November 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2023 Burleson Central Killer percussion feature!! Beautiful big sound on the first hit. The kite formation looked great. Wonderfully sweet trombone solo. The turn right before the butterfly shape was an eye pleaser to kick off the close. BandKid_2, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and Senior22Dad 3 Quote

MikeKyu Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 I am a serious LISD homer. Not going to comment other than to say: Great show today Rouse. Great season!! We are proud to have you represent the district. Quote
J-Mike16 Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 ROUSE HS - ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS OF THE YEAR!!!! Absolutely dominating from the first step onto the field to even them walking off the field. If that doesn't get them the title, I am going to be so shocked! There is a reason why they are ranked in the nation. Quote
Popular Post LostChoirGuy Posted November 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 7, 2023 Rouse reminds me of a much smaller Carmel. They have this beautiful rich symphonic sound and such an elegant and refined show. I love seeing how this group has progressed. Can we PLEASE see them at nats soon!? gregorydf01, TrebleMaker2, H27dk and 1 other 4 Quote
