I feel it may be a slightly down year for Prosper with the new school opening. And I missed all of the stuff that went down this summer, but it sounds like Timber Creek had a rough go? I personally think Wakeland will make finals again, especially as it is a 5A state year and they will be bringing it all.

Edit: wait I dont think Prosper split yet. I'm a mess today, dont listen to me.

Prosper did have a director change. Might be what you’re thinking of.

Possibly. I was offline for 4 months this summer, so all of my information was backread over a few days and it is all pretty muddy up there in my head.

this regional may dictate who may line up for a medal in SA - with Hebron going to GN - it could be huge -

the past 2 years, their standing has not moved between this show and SA

Two years ago, 2017, hebron got first at DFW and then moved down at San Antonio. San Antonio is also a lot harder than grand nats. I remember when Hebron 2015 (360) went they got 5th place at San Antonio and then at Grand Nats they set the highest score ever.

Another thing I may add is that in SA for prelims they have 2 separate judging panel while GN has one for prelims then semis then finals

Just watched a udb video of Coppell and holy cow do they sound good! They sound like a completely different band than last year, I think they should be able to reclaim a finals spot here and might do a lot better than predicted.

Grand Nationals prelims also has 2 separate judging panels, alternating by block, just like the super regional.

So happy to see some Hebron folks joining the forum! That 2015 Hebron show was on fire!!!

I really hope Coppell can push for finals, both here and in San Antonio. I would love to see them have a breakout year, they are easily one of the most talented band programs in the state.

Especially since a huge percentage of their band are 6A all state musicians and several all area and region musicians

Yes! I heard they had over 100 musicians make the All-Region Band last year.

There’s a video from Keller Central and I could definitely see them fighting for a finals spot here. The music is SO FUN and the color guard is seriously impressive, definitely one to watch out for.

I just realized that there’s a school from Arkansas in this contest and BOA has them performing EARLY!

I’m very familiar with Paragould and plan to be there early to support them!

They would only be that early if they were late to register. Early bird gets the worm!

Paragould, AR is the extreme North East corner of Arkansas.  Memphis Tennessee would be closer (and much easier to get to) than Paragould.

I'm a Memphis girl who went to college in Arkansas (Harding University).  I have friends from Paragould.  :)
