What Texas band has the coolest uniform?

LD Bell, Marcus uniforms before their current ones, occasionally Hebron’s uniforms pop especially when they have giant sets that cover the whole field, Vista, RR, and I personally LOVE Keller’s uniforms.

I've always loved the customization of the Dripping Springs Band. They have a new color every year and they use black bibbers for football games, and whites for competition's.

 

NO ONE does white uniforms like DS does. When DS has been at the top of their game, their visual package SHINES because of those uniforms. Also, a shoutout to the awesome mirror triangles they had back in the day. That look was ICONIC.

I wish I could find pictures of Porter’s uniform. It’s similar to RR’s uniform, but in red and with a spartan helmet on the front where RR’s dragon is. Also agree with Leander and Dripping Springs. I’ve always loved Dripping Springs’ white scheme

Claudia Taylor Johnson easily. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but there’s an effect these uniforms bring to the field that none other are able to. Last year’s were already phenomonal but now it’s a more vivid color, along with having a more vibrant plume.

I'm going to be a homer here. But I'm going to throw Argyle's competition whites in here. The lines are razor sharp, makes the guard and prop colors pop, and elongates the torso. Every marching defect is exaggerated, but precision is rewarded.

The current DS uniforms pay homage to those uniforms with the triangles that come off the customized colored squares. Those old uniforms if I remember correctly were first gotten in '03 or '04 and lasted until 2014 when they changed. My personal favorite uniform for sure because there is nobody put there with a uniform quite like it.

Mirror uniforms from Dripping Springs were first used in 2006. I was a freshman at DS that year.

I’ve always loved Ronald Reagan’s uniforms. The bright green stripes and plumes look so cool when they’re paired with the darker green turf! You can’t miss that band.

Really it depends. Bands like Hebron and Reagan and Marcus that have the same uniform every year are quite iconic and have a really nice brand image, whereas bands like FloMo and CTJ that alter their uniform every year help to enhance every show they have. I think what I like most are bands who change their uniforms every couple of years around their band’s identity and colors to keep it fresh and updated.

It really depends. New uniforms are always visually appealing but when a band keeps the same uniform then it kind of keeps the identity of the program.

It depends, really. I like the idea of bands remaining traditional but it's always nice to see change. Bands like CTJ and FloMo have more theatrical shows than bands like Hebron and Marcus, so it makes sense to change their uniforms to fit the show's theme.
