General website issues

Any body else noticing lately that the website is quite slow to load?

I've noticed that for awhile now. It's now on the daily instead of high traffic periods of the seasons.

Yeah... I thought it was just my school's Wi-Fi. Also, for some reason, like 4-5 times over the past week, I have gotten the 504 service error when trying to load a page now... makes me refresh the page and load all over again.

Today is working fine but was was poor (slow) this past week and yesterday (9/13) was really bad and mostly not usable.   Hope the problem has been fixed

Yup, I've noticed it about a week ago and it's been the same. It's like trying to go to the page is real slow but once you are here it's faster.

@Clarinot any thoughts?  It’s pretty bogged down lately!  Sometimes unusable.

It's getting worse...  It's so slow I have to wait for the page to load for like 2-5 mins every time

I have notified some of the administrators and hopefully we will have a resolution soon.

its getting worse it's unusable for me now it took me  3 refreshes and 20 minutes to get here...

After complaining about it, it fixed its self.... There's like no load time now

I've implemented a few changes that can take up to 24 hours to go into effect, so I'll check again tomorrow and see if we need to take further steps.

Seems to be much better for me. Loading times much improved but my messages are still taking longer than normal to send

Non-cache page loading is much better. Still a bit slow (I think?) but certainly tolerable.

Yeah this is what I was anticipating. Not perfect but an improvement - this is what I’m seeing myself as well. I’m trying to slow down the bots crawling the site to give us a little more slack.

Yesterday (Saturday) it was totally unusable. I couldn't get on it at all which to be honest was not shocking, there were lots of people on it because of all the contests that were going on. This was also a common theme last year on Saturdays during contest season it was barely working at all.
