Electronics issue. Had to skip almost their entire pre-show as a result, I think.

I think they had a technical issue which caused them to skip the preshow so they would be under time.

Good question... adjudication is not officially supposed to start until the five minute clock has expired, meaning after most of the preshow.  But does an awesome preshow influence a judge?  Who knows?

If it was just the pre-show, it shouldn't impact at all.

Ronald Reagan: WOW WOW WOW!!!! It really sucks they had electronic issues, but they still performed the heck out of the show!!! What a sound they can make!!!

Ugh, I feel for them.  We had our power fail at UIL Area a few years back and had to do the entire show with no electronics, no microphones for soloists ... it was brutal.

That’s two things

1. A really good decision from the BD, clearly knows what theyre doing.

2. An amazing job by the kids starting off and still delivering an amazing performance

It sucks they had issues, but wow those kids reacted so well to the adversity. It was like they practiced having that issue and knew exactly what to do. I sincerely hope it doesn't hurt them. Props to the band and the directors who got them ready to face adversity.

 

I love the effect the guard uniform has. I got to see it in person at TMC so I was much closer and could see how really cool they are.

I bet they have practiced this before. Many schools will opt to skip preshow and start just like Reagan did at football games once the whole show is learned due to time constraints. Amazing, resilient young adults, bravo Reagan Band.

If you are referring to Reagan, no. They had some really loud static issues at points when trying to use the speakers

Vandegrift: INCREDIBLE, simply incredible!!! This show has grown and me so much! Their percussion in insane as always, leave the trombone duet, and that opening hit is just mind blowing! Would be SHOCKED if they don't medal!
