I was at area and I remember being extremely excited seeing that they just came out of nowhere. Easily one of my favorite shows this year. CTJ just finished and that was a weird performance. I think they had some microphone issues ( I'm not sitting in my preferred spot though), & the voice overs did not sound as good as they did the BOA prelims & finals. Not only did their band play great, but I also loved how easy it was to follow the theme. It is rare to see High School bands spell words on the field and I really liked how Alexander did this to help explain the theme.....especially at the end when they left their lit up shakos on the field. I have heard many amazing bands today but tone quality, resonance, control, clarity, and mastery of technical difficulty will be left to the experts who are the judges to decide.
