I’m watching a few of the performances that ended up on YT, but I do like a lot of the shows (Hebron and Vandy are my predictions, but I’ll give more opinions once I watch them all). If I had to guess they aren't gonna get the appeal approved, which opens up another spot which I guess is a good thing for that band that gets in, but I still feel SO TERRIBLE for them. I’m so impressed by the proficiency of the returning finalist as well as all the other competitors today. So difficult to decide. I loved watching the performances i was able to catch on the live stream, which in my opinion lived up to the hype because the panning and zooming is soooo much better. Getting 43 groups down to 14 in one shot feels like an impossible task. Really wouldn't be shocked by any surprises that come our way. Remember that this batch of seniors were freshmen during COVID. And the underclassmen were affected by COVID in the crucial middle school period. They have overcome all that and more! (That's for every band kid this season!) I wish there was more than 14 slots in finals! I don't know how the judges will decide the top 14 but I hope you all enjoyed performing your shows and performing with your friends! Please keep in mind that this is probably the most competitive 6A state we've had to date, so take it with a grain of salt. Also, for any members who are in the medium/low chance, this in no way means your band is bad, it's just super competitive, and am just trying to make realistic predictions, but every single band that stepped out on the field today was incredible, and could arguably make finals.
