Not really a small band but it always trips me out that Tarpon Springs is a AA band. Is everyone in the school conscripted into band / guard?

UIL robbed Rouse High school from a state title. Bias needs to be stopped when it comes to Cedar Park. I’m sick of it, and I’m sure the other bands robbed are too. Rouse, Dripping springs, and others have been robbed consistently due to bias. I have dropped the mic.

ROUSE HOUSE!!! They did not come to play tonight!! Super strong over, a little stick out at the end. Small ensemble, holy crap, idk how they do it bc that’s some extremely hard stuff they are nailing!! Super strong ballad, reminds me of their opener from last year. Very big sound from their brass, and visually clean, some great individual technique, amazing job Rouse!!

Is it just me or is each performance like "No one can top this!" then the next band goes, "Oh yeah? Watch this!"

The standard of these bands is crazy, back when i marched with marcus in 2017, we went to grand nats and got 4th but just watching these bands amaze me. I feel like a lot of these bands could have beat us. Also just to any current high school band member in finals or who preformed today, Dci camps are starting back soon, so many of you guys are good enough to march or come close to marching a drum corps, just go to some of these corps camps and you will see what I am talking about, back when I was in hs I though I was not good enough to march and then I went out there and marched with the boston crusaders in 2019, when we got 6th at Dci finals with the show Goliath(Really fun show to march btw, I could talk about it for ages but this is a hs band forum so im not going to), but if i never went to the camp, that chance would have never opened up, you never know until you try, even if its just one camp. Never doubt your skill as a texas high school marching band player

From what I heard, they are a magnet school for fine arts, so yeah a lot of their kids are in band and they also get insane funding. So not only do they have a large number enrolled in band despite being just a AA High school in boa, they also have better funding, and more talented students because they are a fine arts centered school. It’s a little unfair when other 2As compete against them because they have such a big advantage, no wonder they are nationally ranked

Agreed, seems like they go for the win, definitely like some of the dallas bands shows better then these shows that play judge pleasing things

While their general effect is perfectly fine, I feel as if the visuals in feel less clean than one of the last few bands, but generally a overall good performance from vandy (although take this with a grain of salt, im not a very good judge of this stuff)
