vandegrift doesn’t deserve to be that high I fear, they didn’t do enough to clench a top 5 in my opinion, their name gives them a free extra 2pts. The mistakes should not be overlooked. Other bands didn’t choke like that

There’s a magicalness in the opening hit of a marching band and the only one that gave me that magic, was Cedar Park, bravo 👏

All bands performed at a high level it’s just that….no one stood out as to where I’m content with the winner, you might be content with the winner, but I think you can somewhat agree that one band did not outshine the rest as to where they are clearly the winners.

No, if some bands get higher than penstriped 2021, it’s just a score inflation. That show is unmatched

The Woodlands is the only thing that makes sense, because I do not know who the audience is rooting for. They seem confused cause they have no clue who’s going to win. Lets just give it to Pearland TBH

Scores don’t mean anything from different years or contests. I’m sure 2022 Hebron would’ve been beat clean by 2021 Hebron.

The Clarinet Player is right I fear. Nothing screamed “Winner” like Hebron 2021 did. I didn’t feel any of the top bands tonight (you’re not tired MarchingMafia).

The only band Ive seen the audience collectively like without bias is The Woodlands. Other times it feels like they feel obligated to give a standing ovation. I wanna see the magic from CTJ 2017, Vista Ridge 2018, etc, where the audience undeniably gets on their feet.

Hebron was good and clean, with a hard musical book, I just wish I felt content with the winner. Most years there is a clear winner, but none have gone above and beyond from the rest to separate themselves from the pack.
