Good morning everyone! I’m super excited that I will be able to attend this event live again… crazy to think it’s already almost been a year since the last one! Everyone is already so good seeming, and I have a good feeling we may so bands in spots that we “aren’t use to seeing them in”. Here’s my predictions going into this weekend: 1st: Hebron(All Captions)- Use, I know this contest usually goes to Flomo and it still might, but after seeing Flomo this past weekend at Wylie, I don’t think they will take it this year. 2nd: FlowerMound 3rd: Wakeland: Yes I know this may be surprising to some, but I honestly believe they have what it takes to medal here. They were fantastic at HEB! It may be somewhat of a long shot, but not impossible. 4th: Marcus 5th: Coppell 6th: Keller 7th: Southlake Carrol 8th: L.D Bell 9th: Timber Creek 10th: Lone Star 11th: Aledo 12th: HP

I know!!!! I could only imagine being in it! I was with Lovejoy in area b for 5A the past 4 years and it’s beyond insane how good everyone there is. Something about area B y’all!

I think Timber Creek has a great shot at state this year! they looked and sounded fantastic at HEB, and I think they can and really want to make it again this year! This would be my current predictions as of now based on the comps that have happened and last year. Normally the take 5 but I've heard there will be a good chance they take 6 so that's what my predictions are based on. 1st: Coppell 2nd: Keller 3rd: TC/Carrol- will probably have a good estimate where Carrol will be after this weekend and the following comps 4th: TC/Carrol 5th: Keller Central 6th: Waxahachie/Lake Ridge- again haven't seen Waxahachie yet but hopefully this weekend will help with where they stand here 7th: Waxahachie/Lake Ridge 8th: L.D Bell 9th: Haltom 10th: Highland park/Duncanville- originally thought HP had a chance and they still do but after how POC went, this weekend at DFW will really show whether they can compete with the "big dogs", but i'm not as confident as I use to be.

Then we have Lovejoy with a 10th and 4th in Music, Lake Ridge with a 7th and 3rd? Just seemed a little inconsistent from judge to judge in some bands but overall good, just a little shocking!

Also has anyone got the finals recap yet? Still isn’t up on the website yet and really wondering what the final scores were.

This was definitely a good bounce back for Summit. Considering how Mansfield went and the director change, getting over a 6A state participant and McKinney who was about 10ish points over them last weekend, this is what they needed. I don’t know how Midland will go for them.. am guessing bottom half of finals. Lake Ridge, Ducanville and Johnson would be my top 3 for now, but Braswell is also on a role right now, and Clovis, who has now won 2 regionals. Midland this year might be the most competitive it’s ever been!

Amazing work y’all! I’m so happy you guys are finding a ton of success this season. I had King as my assistant director these past 4 years when I was at Lovejoy and I’m super happy he has helped y’all rise up! Independence looking like they are gonna be a real powerhouse for a while! Cant wait to see how area shapes out this year! Congratulations to all who were here!

My bad I meant top 10. I mean maybe top 10 is possible but after tonight’s results maybe. I’d say there objectively 10 bands in that area that are better.

I don’t really know what they are going for with this show and yes they won, but there wasn’t a ton of competition. But boa next weekend is gonna be ruff for them, unless of course it’s not. We may not being seeing them in the slots were use to

Top 5 at Area B this year… that’s a stretch. Considering that Argyle and Mellisa will be there now, plus all the bands already there. It’s possible but if they don’t place top 3 or so tonight, I’d be very unlikely.

Summit was good… but definitely can see the effects of the director change. Maybe it’s just the sound, but they sound so quite compared to the past few years. We unfortunately may not see them in finals.

Contest is being live streamed. Change in schedule: Mansfield is going first in the first block rather than last, everything else is the same

This is KC’s first year, and FlowerMound went for the first time last, and obviously swept everything.

Honestly probably the most accurate and what I would have as my predictions! Could possibly seeing CR take 2nd over Regan but I wouldn’t put my bets on it simply bc Regan is Regan, but everyone is just on fire this year already!!! Gonna be one heck of a contest!

The Wylie Marching Invitation also needs to be fixed. Here are the changes Drop: Wylie East,Independence, Lakeview Centennial, Rockwall-Heath and Richardson. Add: Grand Prairie and Flowermound

I think it’s possible, but I wouldn’t bet to much on it. Having that big of a score gap between them and the top 5 is pretty concerning, however they have a completely new staff. Im thinking in the 10th-7th range just based on who’s going. Haven’t found a video yet so going purely off this past weekend but considering that and how well everyone else here that’s coming is doing, I’d say most likely towards the bottom half. They also don’t have the best performance time, especially considering the are being followed by majority heavy hitters.

Yeah could definitely see that it’s just that almost all the bands here are already sounding amazing which makes it so hard to predict but definitely could see Boyd in the top half or 3
