Most of this is based off the short clips off the different groups I’ve seen, but I’d love to hear what’s y’all’s are and how you think the season is gonna shape out! 1st: Cadets 2nd: Carolina Crown/BD 3rd: BD/Crown 4th: Boston 5th: BC 6th Phantom/BS 7th: Phantom/BS 8th: Cavaliers 9th: Troopers( yes I really believe they can do this) 10th: Mandarins 11th: Blue Knights 12th: Colts/Crossmen/Madison Scouts?

Cant believe the new season is already here, but with how everyone is sounding and all they hype that’s been going around, I’m super excited as I’d imagine most of us are for the season to kick off! Good luck to all the cores this season, and thank you to all the members and staff for keeping this awesome activity alive!!! Let the 2023 DCI season commence!!

Hey friends! Thought I’d share this; there’s an account on TikTok called dci leaks2023, and has a good amount of show leaks/premiers on there, including Boston’s from last night! Everyone is sounding so so good right now! This season is looking to be an incredible one!

Just saw them and they are really good sounding! My biggest concern is that the music book is way to easy for bd, snd they may peek musically way to early, and I’m not really feeling the concept. They still have a potential to win, but I personally think crown is definitely better of the 2 at the current moment. Both sound incredible though, can’t wait for the season to start!

I’d imagine this is an easy sweep for 7L, but I could see Jordan having something to say about that

Id be very surprised if MG Johnson doesn’t end up coming here, as they have the past 2 years

I’d agree with most of this, but North Forney should definitely be in the 6th-11th. They are definitely better than North Crowley and Cleburne and Timberview

Ooooo I can’t wait for this one! Some of these US Bands lineups are starting to look pretty solid, and having a flo subscription already makes things easier. I may have to consider this one for this day…was thinking about heb or Wylie, probably will still do ones of but this will be a strong show regardless.

They definitely got a shot, but i wouldn’t say they are at finalist potential right now. They’ve been placing pretty low at state recently, not really anywhere close to the likes of bell or Cy Woods, but probably could compete with LT, but they aren’t the same program they used to be

Okay it looks like Boswell will actually be coming here…maybe. They aren’t listed on the US Bands site anymore for the comp they were planning on attending this day, so guessing they are coming here?

Okay well considering how well they’ve been doing, especially since 2019 on, I think they still have a really strong shot at finals here! Also just saw he’s been with them for now 11 years, so yeah knowing his work with them, they have a huge shot at finals here.

My two to not make it would probably be between Timber Creek, Wakeland or LD Bell, possibly rouse or Leander. For Wakeland and TC, both are getting new directors, TCs is still unknown( unless it’s not) and Wakeland is getting TCs most recent one, and Bell just seems to be struggling to make finals at anything beyond DFW and local comps. Leander and Rouse should be fine, but just basing off last year, especially for Rouse, there’s still a chance they don’t. I’m really hoping KC and TC both make it

100% id say my current top spot would be between Richland, Byron Nelson or Fossil Ridge

Pretty sure September 1st is when they become available to the public, they open but tickets to the bands in August so they can get block tickets together

I’ll be at McKinney which is local to me, but I’ll also be taking my first trip to the dome this year for the Southwestern Championship. Will be staying Friday night in San Antonio…are there any tips or tricks I need to know? Gonna try to get a hotel close enough where we can walk without it being an unreasonable distance, but I’ve never been to the dome before.

Omg you’re right, forgot about area! That’s honestly pretty cool! Would love for all 4 to make finals at at least one of them, this one probably being the most realistic for that to happen is Fossil Ridge can build off the success from last season
