I wouldn’t be to certain about Brandeis. I was able to watch McAllen finals and they really look like a completely different band. Apparently they had a different change which makes sense but if LT is still contributing their upward trajectory, I think it’s gonna be the same 4 as last year

Yeah I thought the same after seeing them! Also can see Sharyland passing Roma after that run! Idk both Roma and Brandies just don’t seem the same from the past to me!

Thank you so much! JBA is in prime position to win this, and I may be a little out of my mind, but could Sharyland pass Roma? If they have a stronger musical performance maybe, as it seems that was the thing that put Roma ahead, as they won visual and GE? And again, they are perfectly in the schedule! Gonna be exciting!

Wow! This is gonna one heck of a comp with Coppell and Haltom joining the “usuals”! I’m guessing they take 12 to finals like last year so here’s an early prediction: 1st Marcus 2nd Coppell 3rd Keller 4th TC 5th Wakeland 6th Prosper 7th Haltom 8th Forney 9th Richardson 10th Byron Nelson 11th The Colony 12 Grapevine Wakeland sweeps 5A in prelims, and could honestly see 6A captions going to either of the top 3. Gonna be a really good one this year!

Yes, but how they determine each bands class is different than boa. Based on their website each bands class is determined by the number of winds, however I couldn’t find the specific numbers. But it’s definitely different because Azle and Birdville are normally 3A but here they are 4A.

New vid up of Ceder Ridge! They sound amazing!!! And down to 4 tubas… for a 6A powerhouse 😩 As a tuba player myself I’m extremely surprised, like that’s less than some 3A bands maybe even 2A or 1A??? But none the less they are amazing!!!

Dang they really spread out the powerhouses… well kind of lol! That 4th block is gonna be insane!!! And Hebron and Marcus pretty much back to back!!! It’s gonna one insane contest!

I actually won’t be going to Austin this year, but rather San Antonio 🥳🥳 One of my roommates was a sax at timber Creek and wants to come down to see this and there’s no way I wouldn’t not either! First time ever in the dome!!! Super pumped

I think Prosper will make it this year. Last year imo was just dumb and they definitely should have made it, but it wasn’t their best run. However with it being a nats year, they will be stepping it up a gear. I’d have them in 4th and move everyone else down

There’s a vid of Coppell post game show on YouTube. Got to the second movement and immediately recognized the music but couldn’t remember what it was from unti the tuba Feature…. THERE IS NO FREAKING WAY!!! I’m not gonna spoil what it’s from but I’m so pumped to see this!!!

I’m most looking forward to BOA waco! I’m currently a freshman at Baylor and my alumni Lovejoy is coming here! It’s their first boa contest since 2012 and they are looking mighty strong right now! Definitely could be bottom half of finals and/or 2A champ. I can’t wait to perform in exhibition for any of y’all attending! Marching band in college is so much fun, and I highly recommend your kids doing it! They will have a blast and meet so many kind people!!! also looking forward to boa Austin snd dfw as I will be going to both of theses in person. First time at Austin so super pumped and 2nd at dfw, first time being last year, which was incredible! Really all the tx comps but those 3 mainly, oh and 6A state !

It’s definitely possible, but it won’t be easy. My 11th or 12th but I personally think there are 12 bands here that are better based off last year, but it’s a season!

Hendrickson had a video up! Show theme seems a little under powering for a nats show but they sound incredible for this early season! Some low brass stick outs here and there, but the percussion is on fire and once they clean up visually which it’s pretty good rn, they will be fantastic! Definitely could see this making finals at nats!

Was able to find videos of Regan snd CTJ! Have seen Klein Oka who sounds unbelievably incredible so far and the woodlands who also sound fantastic. Regans show reminds of Regan from last year a lot. Don’t know them theme but they are good just not a super hard show based on what was given. CTJ…. Wow oh wow!!! They sound incredible right now! The beginning of the show is so cool with the props and the sound fantastic! Honestly think they can take boa Katy! It’s gonna be one heck of a show and year for them!
