Glenn has shown huge improvement this year and I really love their show. Lots of creativity and energy and you can tell the kids are having fun with it. Their sound is also way ahead of where they have been in the past.
I hope they continue growing on this trajectory.

Sad that Leander was out of finals but proud of them on 16th place overall amidst a difficult season for them!  So so proud.

I was there last night, and all of the bands were just amazing. Less than one point seperated the top 5 bands. You really couldn't have gone wrong with any of them. I will say that I really, really thought Vista Ridge should have finished higher. Their show and energy this year is just unbelievable. 

Won’t be watching the shows live so here are My pre-contest predictions. I will make finals placement predictions after finalists are announced as well.

I learned at BOA I have to evaluate shows in their entirety as opposed to just one aspect of it. Same thing here for UIL. Some of the shows I placed based on one specific quality, and that matched their ranking in a particular caption or sub-caption(either in prelims and/or finals), but not for overall placement because I didn’t consider the other qualities it had(*cough* vista ridge and Marcus *cough*🙈)
Or I’ll place bands inaccurately in prelims but accurately if it were finals, or vice versa. I haven’t mastered this yet 🙈

It happens every year, and understandably so. The show is so loaded.
People get very excited about the band they JUST saw and swear they will be in Finals. Recency bias is a thing.  There just aren't enough slots to go around. 

I'm proud of Vista Ridge for finishing ahead of two of the three bands who beat them at BOA Austin.
