They were first out, fairly decisively, with an 82.

So the judges will rank them 1 being the best. They add up all the ranking to get that end number, lower being best

Congratulations to all the bands who made finals! I’m actually quite shocked Aledo isn’t on that list. I feel bad for them. Special shout-out to @clarinetistkai05 and Forney… so happy you get one more performance tomorrow. Nice way to end your high school band career!

THANK YOU! I’m genuinely so happy for the fact we get another chance! I’m gutted for Aledo though, I hope they can come back strong next year!

Pretty big gap in prelims between the top four most people were talking about and the rest of the field. Finals should be amazing!

CONGRATS EVERYONE! I am so proud of everyone, and even if tonight didn’t go the way you expected; you still did amazing! I am really really proud of all of the finals, you guys genuinely deserved it! I can’t wait for tomorrow, and to see how things shape up.

I mean if it’s to be believed the recaps aren’t a lie…I’ve been saying this about Cedar Park. 5A is their dominion.

In 2015 Leander thought they could take them down, they didn’t. In 2017 Dripping Springs almost succeeded but missed. In 2019 Highland Park gave it a shot and also lost out. Most recently Rouse and Leander have tried taking a nab at it. Cedar Park just knows how to turn it up in 5A. They may lose to these bands all season, they may lose prelims. They will go all-out in the end though.
