I just watched Austin perform at their football game and I think they play better this year than in 2016 but they are a little dirtier visually still. Tomorrow will be a good day to fix that all

They must have improved a ton musically since I last saw them for them to be better than 16 musically. Great for them!

Their music is noticeably harder than 16 and they’re doing a pretty good job of playing it technically well

Its definetely a much more difficult show. Bigger band too. I just havent seen it in a while. I saw Travis at LSP and I gotta say its likely the best they have ever been. Also SFA got 4th in visual ensemble at Conroe so it mustve not been their best visual run.

Could be. Their drill is also harder this year, or at least more complex

There is a rumor going around that Brazoswood may be disqualified due to marching failing students. Any confirmation?

Brazoswood had their SMC appearance vacated in 2016 because they had an ineligible student helping with the band on the field. Might be what you heard.

I heard that the band director ran off with the head principal from the rival school and he took the band with him.

Psh I wish. That was the year Brian Casey retired and Martin Montoya came in at the end of the year and we’ve been great through Casey and still going strong through Montoya. We also picked up SCV’s brass dude Mark Nichols that year to fill in the hole left by Montoya getting promoted to head director.

Seems like a promising future for Bwood
