Alright, with the 2A, 4A, and 6A Area Contests being Next week, here is a google spreadsheet of the Area Contest 2022 for those classifications! is anyone else going to be at this contest? I will be there recording all of prelims, and possibly finals if my camera survives :). Can't wait to see who advances to finals and to State! My top 12- Top 3 will go to Hebron, Flower Mound, and Marcus 4, 5, and 6, I would say could be between plenty of bands, but the main ones that I feel have the highest chance of taking it are Wylie, Wylie East, and spot 6 being up for grabs between Rockwall, Rock Hill, McKinney Boyd, Lewisville (They are the Dark Horse for me in this Area), Prosper, and Sasche. The rest of finals- This one could be a toss up as it has shown in the past that there are bands who are worthy for finals that end up getting placed in spots you wouldn't expect. I would say that Plano East, Rockwall Heath or McKinney are the three I would see making it into finals if one or more bands above didn't do as well. Bands that possibly won't make finals, but could be in the top 15, the only two I see making it into the top 15 is Allen and Rowlett.

Hey everyone, unfortunately I will not be able to keep ya'll up to date on which bands will be advancing to Area for 2A, 4A, and 6A on Saturday until much later in the evening. I was posting this now to ask if there are some folks who would be able to keep this thread going throughout the day to announce which bands are advancing? I would really appreciate it! Also to any band students, Directors, or Parents of students in band this year, I want to wish ya'll the best of luck at UIL Regional! So true. Bands that we thought would advance last year got placements that were never even thought of. Like I think people thought Tompkins would place 5th or 6th in Finals last year and they got 9th or 10th if I remember correctly.

Same for all! But if they choose the Open Class path, then they will go to their respective Area Contest instead of going to State for Military Class
