So I feel that it will be a Carolina Crown VS Bluecoats year, but I also feel that Boston is going to crash the party in some form, either getting into the Top 5, or knocking out Santa Clara Vanguard, Carolina Crown, or Bluecoats from the Top 3

I have to wait until tomorrow to post the current standings since I will be asleep by the time scores get announced.

I had planned to watch DCI East Coast Classic, but it had two weather delays and so I chose to watch Drums on Parade instead Here were my thoughts from DCI Drums on Parade- World Class Corps- These are ranked based on how I felt about the show The Cavaliers- WHAT A PERFORMANCE! They keep getting better and better through each performance! Really enjoyed this performance and still love that drum break section! Overall, much improvement from their Detroit performance and an even better performance than yesterday! Also they have finally moved higher than Blue Stars in my personal ranks Madison Scouts- AWESOME! That was an amazing opener from Madison Scouts! Really like the music, especially the ballad! Also really great job to them on balancing every instrument, so no one instrument was over powering. Also really liked the Guitar and bass scores, really great to listen to! Overall, a great performance, and I could see this show in the Top 12 if they keep giving out performances like these! Blue Stars- AMAZING! Every time I watch this show, it just gets better! I really am enjoying it and can't wait to see more performances! Overall, another great performance from the Blue Stars! 4th- Colts- Once again, Amazing performance! I really thought they would place higher last night over Crossman, but overall, I can see this show making it into Final 12 if they keep up with these performances, and fix what they need to! Overall, I really enjoyed the performance! - Not Counted in Ranks- Phantom Regiment- Amazing musical performance! Unfortunate they couldn't do their full show marching, but still amazing performance in a Stand-Still! Open Class Corps- These are ranked based on how I felt about the show- 1st- River City Rhythm- Great Performance! Great music, loved the opener, and I really liked the show overall! I can see this group making it into the Top 7 at Open Class Championships! 2nd- Colt Cadets- Nice Performance! I really enjoyed the music and the visual package was really decent! I can see this group in the final 12 in Open Class! Overall, nice performance and can't wait to see more from this Drum corps during the season! All Age Class- These are ranked based on how I felt about the show- 1st- Sound of Sun Prairie- I missed the opener, but from what I did get to hear and watch, they did really decent! There were some musical moments that need to be worked on and visual's need some work to, but overall, nice job! 2nd- Green Beret Marching Band- Decent performance! Lots of work to do on the show, but overall, I enjoyed it! Here are the performances I was able to catch from DCI East Coast (I am not placing since I didn't get to watch all the performances- World Class (I Went Back and Watched The Cadets) The Cadets- LOVED THE PERFORMANCE! That was a really good way to start their season, and I think they will keep getting better each time! I really enjoyed the Jazz feature, which is something very unique for this year out of all the shows that are out on the field! Really epic performance by the percussion, definitely one of the top groups this year! Overall, I really liked the show and can't wait to see how well The Cadets do this season! Jersey Surf- Loved the Show! Interesting seeing percussion as the main part of the opener, something that isn't seen much in other shows, so Jersey Surf adding something new to the table, which I like! This show seems like it will be a fun show and I hope that it makes the Top 15! I also enjoyed the tuba's score, they sounded really good! Overall, I really enjoyed this performance, and I could see this show being one of the fan favorites this year! Also forgot to mention, I really like the props! Gives me a Leander 2021 show vibe Open Class- Spartans- WOW! That was one great performance! Loved the music, and that Opener was something! Visually, there are some moments that need fixing, but overall, they did very well! I also have to say that the color guard member that dropped their rifle, that was a great recovery! I can see this show making Top 3, or even winning the Open Class Championships AGAIN if they keep performing well! Overall I really enjoyed the performance!

Alright, so here are my thoughts from DCI Central Indiana (I have to say, this placement was more difficult for me XD): I have placed the Drum Corps in order of how much I enjoyed the show, and what placement I would have given them- 1st- Carolina Crown- YES CROWN YES!!!! That was the best opening performance I have ever seen! That show is one of, if not the BEST SHOW this year! They are in continence to win the Gold this year!!! That show is everything you could ask for, visually appealing, amazing music, and amazing crowd interaction! Overall, that show is my FAVORITE show this year and I am happy to say that this show is the number 1 show from this event! Overall, I enjoyed the show and can't wait to see how they do!!! 2nd- Blue Stars- AMAZING PERFORMANCE! I still enjoy this show more than Regiment's and Cavaliers show's, but this is in my personal opinion. I know that Regiment and The Cavaliers are placing higher than Blue Stars, but I still enjoyed that show! The sets looked a lot cleaner than Detroit and that instrumental balancing also sounded much better! I also enjoyed that closer very much! Overall, I really enjoyed the show! 3rd- The Cavaliers- WOW, that was much improvement from Detroit! That was much cleaner visually, and musically sounded much better! The force that they gave was really good and showed that they are a force to wrecken with! Amazing drum break, and was more noticeable as a 2002 throwback! The closer was better and made it much cleaner overall!. Furthermore, I really liked their performance this time and this show is starting to grow on me! 4th- Phantom Regiment- HOLY!!!! That was one heck of a performance! I must say, that was much better imo then their performance in Detroit. I still love that Opener, but that Ballad was so much better then I remember! That Trombone solo sounded much better as well, so I must say this show is starting to grow on me. Overall, I really enjoyed the show! 5th- Colts- All I can say is AMAZING! That show was musically engaging and was really fun to listen to! The visual's were almost there, and I could see them making it into the Final 12 if they fix what they need to. I also really liked that Opener, the force that was given has made that opener one of my favorites! I also really liked the Tuba solo!. Overall, Loved the show! 6th- Crossman- Alright, wasn't expecting the Opener set change, but I liked it! Still sounds well musically, but the visual's are still an issue, I would like to see them in the Top 12 still, but after watching the Colts, I think that they will have the challenge and have one heck of a battle in the end. Overall, really enjoyed watching the show again!

Hey everyone, so with most, if not all the groups officially starting tour for the 2022 season, lets talk about our favorite drum corps international show from any year. There have been so many amazing shows over the last 50 years that it is hard to pick from them. - I wanted to start with my favorite show from 1989, Phantom of the Opera. This show is one of the reason's why I love Santa Clara Vanguard. This show was so expressive and made me feel like I had watched the Broadway version in instrumental form. The closer is one of my top favorites, especially when they march in a long line towards the front of the field. - Another one of my favorite shows, the show that first introduced me to Santa Clara Vanguard, Force of Nature 2016. That opener is my favorite Opener in DCI! They had amazing force and truly left me speechless after I watched it. - Another show I liked from 2016 was Drum Corps Bride from The Academy in 2016. This show was AMAZING and the music score is one of my favorites, especially the Bugle Horn Solo, my favorite in Drum Core! Other shows that I have enjoyed are- - Spartacus 2008 (Phantom Regiment) - Frameworks 2002 (The Cavaliers) - Downside Up 2016 (The Bluecoats) - Heck on Wheels 2018 (Music City) - Art of Darkness 2014 (Genesis) - Men are from Mars 2017 (The Cavaliers) - Beast 2018 (Carolina Crown) - Tilt 2014 (The Bluecoats) - Metamorph 2017 (Blue Devils) - Between Angels and Demons 2011 (The Cadets) - Wicked Games 2017 (Boston Crusaders) - Dark Side of the Rainbow 2014 (Colts) - With 2022, there are three shows that stood out to me, Paradise Falls (Boston Crusaders), Riffs and Revelations (The Bluecoats), and Of War and Piece (Blue Stars). I can't wait to see more amazing shows this year and can't wait to see how the shows this year turn out!
