Normally they do forgive those issues. When I went to Area in 2018, it was very hot that our soundboard was malfunctioning. We still got 3rd in Prelims though!

That would make sense to, especially if Prelims can be done, but not Finals

So if they do, the whole contest would be moved to the rain delay day. It shouldn't affect the contest tomorrow, but if it does, they will move everything. If all bands went and there was a weather concern, then if I'm correct, Prelims would stand as the Final results.

I'm staying with Area C, and I'm recording all of Prelims, so it will be on YouTube the day after the contest

Well it is almost that time again! On Saturday, we will be seeing who will represent their Area's at the 2022 State Marching contest! This is the third year in a row that we are seeing 2A, 4A, and 6A, so it will be interesting to see how these bands do! Really Area A is one of those contest's that you never know who will come out on top and thats what I love most about this Area! If it does end up being Permian, Frenship, and Midland, then that will be a great group to represent Area A at the State contest! But we will have to wait and see

We are just 4 Days away from seeing who advances to the State Marching Contest! Below you will see the number of bands that will be at the State contest this year! 6A is breaking the record this year with the addition of 1 new band! 2A- Certifying 18 Bands to the State Contest 4A- Certifying 23 Bands to the State Contest 6A- Certifying 42 Bands to the State Contest

So for 4A, I would say the three we will see at State are Canyon, Canyon Randall, and Big Spring, but Andrews HS is definitely up there as well! For 6A, I have a strong feeling that Permian and Frenship will take the top 2 spots and third place will be a fight between all the bands! Really hoping Americas HS makes it, but I could see Pebble Hills, Montwood, Coronado, etc...taking that third place spot!

I understand that, but in 2018 and 2021, they placed very low in ranks. I'm just saying that they will still make it, just it won't be as most people would think.

That is a good guess! I still believe that Wills Point will be fourth or even miss state because they have fallen in ranks the last few years, almost missing last year.

I agree with you 100% that had Wakeland been here and this was a State Year, then most likely, Argyle would have missed state for the first time ever (they have been a State Qualifer since 2003).

Wow Cy-Faie having to go first....Great Way to Start the contest, but not a fun spot to have in the schedule.

1st- Canton HS 2nd- Anna HS 3rd- Kaufman HS 4th- Wills Point HS (if Wills Point doesn't advance, then it will be either Sanger, Community, or Celina)
