Hey everyone, here is the footage I have from the bands that performed at McKinney Marching Invitational that are apart of Area C- They are Wylie East, Plano West, Plano East, Plano, Lewisville, Wylie, Rockwall, McKinney Boyd, and McKinney: This can give ya'll the chance to see their performance from Prelims.

I hope there is 12 spots. There are to many good shows that it would be unfortunate for only 10 finals spots and 5 state qualifiers. I really want there to be 6 state spots for this group. But we don't find out until next Saturday

It is almost that time! Most Region's across the state of Texas will be having their contest, and we will finally get to see which bands advance to the Area contest!

that will probably be the top 6. Probably some shift in the placements, but I wouldn't be surprised

So Colleyville Heritage didn't have a great run in finals. Wylie had an AMAZING run in both Prelims and Finals, and Rockwall had a solid run, but Lewisville, Plano East, and Burleson Centennial had much better runs overall

Also I am hoping to attend this Area contest! Which if I do will get me the chance to see Hebron and Flower Mound!

welp after seeing shows yesterday at the McKinney Marching Invitational, I have to say that my predictions really change- Hebron Flower Mound Marcus Wylie Wylie East Sachse Prosper Lewisville Plano East McKinney Boyd Outside of Finals- Rockwall McKinney Plano Plano West

Alright with this contest out of the way here is my thoughts on each show! Wylie HS- WOW! I am in shock by the performance they gave in both Prelims and Finals! They put on a show that made me put them over Wylie East for Area contest. Their music is great and is visually appealing! I can't wait to see how this show does and Hope it makes State! Wylie East HS- AMAZING! There show, Re: Imagine, is still great! Going first in Prelims put them at a disadvantage, but they didn't let that bring them down! They got 2nd in Prelims and in Finals did well enough to win the caption for Outstanding Visuals! I really like this show and could see them advancing to the 6A State Marching contest! Lewisville HS- This show was AWESOME! I didn't know what to expect from them, but they put on one heck of a performance! Going Home- A Cardinals Journey is a show that I would love to see again! I want to congratulate them on getting 3rd Place in both Prelims and Finals! Burleson Centennial HS- This is one GREAT show! The story that is told is amazing and it really brings the audience on a journey with the main character! The addition of ROAR by Katy Perry really brings this show to a whole new level! This showed why Burleson Centennial is a State qualifying Band! Plano East Senior HS- LETTER B! This show is an interesting concept which takes the use of the LETTER B and tells a story of it. I love that what the band does with music including Flight of the Bumble Bee! Not an easy one to use, and on a State Year, really proves why Plano East is a State Qualifying Band! I hope this show does well at Area! Rockwall HS- BEAUTIFUL! I really love the visual aspect of this show, which is based on the Northern Lights (Also that is the show name). This show has one of my favorite prop designs for this year and I hope to see them in Area Finals! Colleyville Heritage HS- I really like the idea of this show! Into Thin Air takes us on a journey through the mountains and from the Colorguard equipment to the use of Tents, this show is one that I was not surprised it did so well in Prelims. Unfortunately, they didn't get a good placement in Finals. But overall, I really like this show! Plano HS- The Bridge is an interesting concept that I'm still trying to understand. I really liked the show, but I'm still having an issue on how to talk about this show. I do hope to see it in Finals at Area though! Birdville HS- CUBES! This show uses Cubes throughout and was visually great! I am glad that they made finals, and thought they were going to place a bit higher! Plano West HS- THE TANK! This show was really unique and using the idea of being in a Fish Tank and making it musically appealing made it one great performance! Unfortunately though, I was not surprised for the placement as there is still stuff to be worked on for the show. But Overall, a good performance! Also, the use of JAWS theme is a great addition! Granbury HS- BEAUTIFUL! This show took on a great idea to talk about a famous artist from the 20th Century! I really thought they were going to make finals, but there were other bands who had better performances. Overall, I really like the concept of this show and how it was definitely different from every other group! Heritage HS- They put on a great performance, but it wasn't enough to make finals :(. I hope they have better success at other shows as they had a really good performance! Overall, the McKinney Marching Invitational was really fun and I'm glad I was able to attend! On the 29th, I'm either attending Area B or Area C for 6A, so I hope to see ya'll there!

I would guess that Canton or Brewer won. But no clue in what the results are

Awesome performances by Colleyville Heritage, Plano, Lewisville, Wylie, and Rockwall!!! I will post my thoughts on their shows later. I am staying for Finals, but will only be recording Exhibition from McKinney, McKinney North, Texas A&M Commerce, and Results.

Awesome performances from Plano West, Plano East, and Burleson Cenntenial! Plano West- Great way to come back from break! They brought us into the sea world with great music! There were some moments that didn't look right visually, but they did well in music! Plano East- WOW! There performance was AMAZING! The use of music and visually amazing! It felt engaging all the way through! This show, Letter B, is a show that I hope does well at Area, and possibly even makes State! Definitely seeing them in Finals! Burleson Centennial- AMAZING! This show showed why they are a State Level band and I really loved the story it told! Music was phenomenal and I feel that this show will do great where ever they go! Definitely seeing them in Finals!

Amazing performances from Wylie East, Heritage, Granbury, and Birdville! Wylie East- WOW! They put on a great performance! Great sounds all around and great visuals! Definitely a finalist tonight, and possibly the one to win! Heritage- Great performance! There was some musical moments where it felt like they could have been a bit louder. Visually was good, there were some moments that sets were missed, but overall I liked the show! Granbury- Beautiful performance! Musically sounded great and overall had great visuals! Hope to see them in Finals tonight! Birdville- AMAZING! Loved the first hit and everything after! Definitely a finalist tonight!

it is, but for 5A-6A, they start with 2 bands, then at 15, they have 3, 20 = 4, 25 = 5, 30 = 6, 35 = 7, 40 = 8. If I'm wrong, then I apologize, but I think that is how it works. In classifications below 5A, they start with 3 and at 20, they have 4, 25 = 5, 30 = 6, 35 = 7, 40 = 8.

but I thought if 30 bands were to advance that would only allow 6 bands to advance normally. Or is it different for 5A-6A
