Hoping Lovejoy is able to place well here after a not ideal placement at Melissa. They are under new staff, with the previous middle school director now the new head who’s been at the district for a while and a new assistant director, just a lot of new staff throughout. But, here’s my final predictions: 1st. Lebanon Trail 2nd Duncanville 3rd Lake Ridge 4th Sachse 5th Birdville (if coming ?) 6th Reedy 7th Lovejoy 8th North Garland 9th N Forest

I expect Rockwall and Emerson to be really close, both could win imo. Here’s my top 10 after last weekend: 1. Rockwall (visual) 2. Emerson (music/guard) 3. Lewisville 4. Heritage 5. Memorial 6 Independence 7. Highland park (Perc) 8. Walnut Grove 9. JJ Pearce 10. Almost anyone else

I expect Panther Creek in the top 5, maybe top 3. They are cracked this year and will probably win 4A state at this rate. Here’s my final predictions: 1st. The Colony 2nd James Martin 3rd. Mansfield 4th Panther Creek 5th Little Elm 6th Fossil Ridge 7th Birdville 8th. North Mesquite 9th Lakeview Centennial 10th Rockwall Heath

As long as the early performance time doesn’t affect them I see them doing very well here. We’ll have a better idea after Bedford but I see them placing in the 7th-10th range, though I wouldn’t be surprised if they were 6th. By far the best they’ve ever been, and they’ve been amazing for a while now

Marcus was SOOOO GOOD at HEB last night and I’ve seen snippets of Hebron from Mesquite and omg they’re incredible! I really wish Marcus was gonna be here and Prosper, but they’ll do amazing their and make that lineup more strong then it would have been without them. Have been hearing great things about FlowerMound, super pumped to see them!

I think the battle for first will be between Cedar Ridge and Dripping Springs followed by Bowie and Westlake, though honestly I could see all 4 winning depending on who’s had the most cleaning. Still not counting out MG Johnson or Timber Creek. I also think based on HEB Aledo is going to do very well here. Still too early for anything accurate but after this weekends comps I’ll probably drop a list, but I’ll do my top and bottom half: Top 6: Cedar Ridge, Dripping Springs, Westlake, James Bowie, MG Johnson, Timber Creek bottom 5: Seven Lakes, Aledo, Keller Central, Hendrickson, Burleson Centennial last spot: Cypress Park/Midlothian/Sachse

This one is normally all together I believe

Will be fun to see how Taft does here after winning the US Bands Austin comp, definitely think they’ll be in the middle of the pack

This is pretty much my list. Could see McNeil upsetting Westlake after how well they did this past weekend. I’d also have Liberty Hill in the 9-10 range interested of Hutto but other than that this will be close to what happens I think

Well, with HEB over, and some crazy results there, I think making finals is going to be beyond tight for those last spots. I’ve also been hearing that Flowermound is insane this year, very excited to see if they can upset Hebron (who sounds sooooo good as always)! Very lucky to be here live, will of course be doing updates on the bands and rewards throughout the day. With al that being said, here are my Final predictions for this comp: 1st. Hebron (music/GE) 2nd. Flowermound (Visual) 3rd. Coppell 4th. L.D. Bell 5th. Keller 6th. Lonestar 7th. Wakeland 8th. Aledo 9th. Timber Creek 10th. Waxahachie 11th. Forney 12th. SLC/Rock Hill/ KC A 1st- Krum (sweep) AA 1st-Argyle (sweep) 2nd- Grapevine 3rd- Lovejoy AAA 1st- Lonestar (music/ge) 2nd- Wakeland (visual) 3rd- Aledo AAAA 1st- Hebron (music/ge) 2nd- Flowermound (visual) 3rd- Coppell Spaces are placements that are interchangeable. There are going to be some really good bands that get left out that would make finals at almost any other regional. I do really think Lonestar has the potential to win 3A and place very high. They are the best they’ve ever been, and just won at Mellisa winning all 5 judges. Ofc, other bands could move up in placements after having another week of practice, these are mainly just based off this past weekend. Can’t wait to see all these amazing programs!!

Thankfully the livestream was still up so I got to go watch the rest of finals, and everyone sounded amazing!! Marcus though, they are NOT messing around this season, and have retained all momentum from last season, and congrats on the W! Love seeing Aledo did so well, and to no surprise, they were incredible and think they will for sure be in finals at Bedford, can’t wait to see that show! Definitely surprised to see KC place 11th, didn’t really agree with that but other than that results seem right. Congrats to everyone who was here, can’t wait to see some of these shows live next weekend!

Congratulations to Dripping Springs on the win and all our other finalist!! It really is weird seeing CTJ so low, after seeing their performance from the showcase I honestly thought they’d be top 4. Either way if they clean they can still do great things this season. McNeil also showing up, looking good for St Louis!

WOW KELLER CENTRAL!!! That Mello line, Insane! They sound so freaking good for this time, and I could see them doing some serious damage throughout Boa this season! Super happy I’ll get to see this show the next 3 weeks in a row 😂 Great stuff KC!

Hello Haltom!!! Love the theme, and they sound and look amazing!!! Great stuff from the wind ensembles at the start, brass was really strong and WW’s really clean. Could see them being a surprise at area, lovely stuff!!

Great stuff from McKinney North!!! That ballad is so much fun and they are just rocking the stadium with their jazz show! Great soloists all around, really happy that they’ve been able to find their identity, can’t wait to see them in a couple weeks!!
