Best of luck to everyone competing here!! I don’t envy the judges at all, so many amazing programs here, picking 12 for finals just seems impossible. Can’t wait to see how things shake up, hope everyone has the best possible performance!!!

GOOD MORNING Everyone!!! We are here Live at the Bands of America Mid-Cities regional in Bedford! Right on the 50 with a great view for an amazing day of marching band!!! Good luck to everyone competing today, can’t wait to see what these awesome programs have been working on! Will be doing live updates for every band, both prelims and finals, and results. We’ll be getting started here shortly!

Y’all are gonna amaze everyone!!! This crowd goes crazy for ya’ll every year!! I genuinely wanted to go to unt just bc of how awesome their marching band is!

Can’t wait to see y’all’s exhibition tomorrow!!! I remember doing my first boa exhibition at Waco my freshmen year and it’s just so much fun! Everyone is there to all these amazing programs, including the exhibition. I’ve been absolutely blown away by UNT the two times I’ve been, and Ik yall will kill it tomorrow! Really looking forward to seeing all these programs , gonna be a stellar day of marching band!

It’s kind of hard to tell where to put Dickinson here, especially since they haven’t ever I think done boa. Clear Brook tends to do much better at boa then UIL, and their score/placement at Conroe last weekend goes to back that up. I do think Dickinson could surprise us here, but it’s kinda hard to tell rn.

Final predictions: Rockwall Emerson Lewisville Pearce Heritage Plano East Walnut Grove Independence Last two Boswell/Allen/HP/Melissa/Plano Senior/Memorial It’s not gonna be easy to get into the bottom half. Lots of really strong bands here. A strong and Clean performance will be key to the night show!

Another band that has a really strong shot at finals with a really strong performance, really like what they’re doing this year, will definitely be in the mix for last two in/barley out of finals

After seeing a video of Argyle, I really do think they have a shot at finals! It won't be easy, and they'll have a second performance as class champs which will happen, with them probably sweeping. But this is probably the best they've ever looked and sounded, definitely the biggest they've ever been, and if it was a year Tarpon wasn't going, they'd easily win AA at Nats this season. I think we could very well see them at state, will be really close between them, Lebanon and North, but I'd say they have a super strong shot. Could be a very special weekend for them this Saturday!

I think with a super strong performance and a show with good GE, they will make finals. I haven't seen them yet, but they do have the benefit of performing when it's not super-hot, though they have to really stand out due to the fact they're going pretty early, but if they don't make fin No video yet but saw them on the livestream of HEB and they sound and look amazing! Having another banger season and could definitely take the bronze here

I see them in the top half here 👀👀 They are playing at an insane level, so excited to see them live two weeks in a row, could see them winning AAA and placing very well here, I think they’ll also have an insane run at state, their show is just ridiculously good

I'd definitely have panther creek much higher than 10th. They won Plano East over bands like Little Elm and JJ Pearce, should place top 5 here IMO

Dang this really sucks. Are they by chance going to a different competition this day, maybe the Prosper regional?

They normally do reverse prelims placement here, with 10th going first and 1st performing last in finals based on prelims results

Okay that’s super awesome! I’d hope they would have at least tried to sell it before throwing it away, but i definitely understand the want to keep using it! They are looking and sounding awesome this season, would love them to make finals at area this year!

Brazoswood and Churchill Fulshear are my next two out, especially Fulshear after how close they were last weekend, don’t have a ton of current knowledge on most of the bands outside the top 12, but could definitely see someone surprising us fs!

Gosh it’s really crazy how hard getting into finals is gonna be. There are SO many amazing programs here, and the battle for the bottom 6ish will be a bloodbath. Will definitely be keeping up with this comp while I’m at Bedford. Anyways, here’s my final guess lol: 1st. Reagan (sweep) 2nd. Cy-Fair 3rd. Pearland 4th. Bridgeland 5th. Clear Brook 6th. CTJ 7th. Foster 8th . Klein Oak 9th . Friendswood 10th. Dawson 11th. Seven Lakes 12th. Dickinson I definitely could see and hope that Dawson jumps up, just have them here based on last weekend. Cant wait to see all the surprises that get thrown at us here!!

it's definitely possible, but HEB is scored differently and with how close they were in finals at how much Wakeland normally improves between HEB, I personally don't think it's super likely that Aledo is in front of Wakeland here, not impossible though

Nothings impossible, but this contest is just so deep with consistent state finalist/medalist and boa regional/SR finalist, it will be very hard

seeing how Tomball Memorial did this past weekend, I expect them to win and probably sweep here, don't know much about any of the other bands here, guessing Pasadena Memorial, Kempner and Jersey Village will place well

I could definitely see that happening, I’m just not a huge fan of using US Bands scores for making predictions as they tend to over-score sometimes, but anything could happen here tbh
