  1. The Woodlands were just stunning, mind blowing, not real. I will be honest, they aren’t imo as clean this time around as last season, not that that’s a bad thing, might have just been the run, me thinks tomorrow will be much better. But I mean WOW! Love the show design, so much given to the audience throughout, just soooo impressive. I’ll do a bigger breakdown tomorrow, just wanted to enjoy my first viewing, freaking fantastic job The Woodlands!!
  2. As far as scores go, I'd say I agree with mostly everything. No surprise to see Pearland on the top of SA, though Veteran Memorial would score a little higher but it looks like they will be in finals, it will be interesting to see however if Azle can close the gap on Hebron, but i doubt there will much if any shifting tomorrow. For SO, Coppell is currently dominating which seems right to be. My biggest surprise was College Park, who unfortunately didn't make finals, not making finals. I thought they should have placed and scored way higher, but I don't know who to replace them with. SO was just super competitive, and I'm not envois of the judges for SO, finals is gonna be one heck of a show.
  3. My wifi crashed during Pieper and MP JV.A, but both were great, really fun show from Pieper, definitely a group on the rise and MPA was just so beautiful, create performances to close out SA, almost time for the Woodlands 🥳
  4. O'Connor-Clue: Such a fun show! So much character development and great usage of the male soloist throughout the show! Narration add a lot as well, plenty of GE in the show. Performance wise it was great, plenty of show-off moments, and the flag work was the highlight. Tons of variation in color, and they used the different colors to represent the different parts of the game. Awesome show, and a great performance, amazing job O'Connor! Pearland-once upon a blue moon: Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have our SA champs for the weekend, at least for now, we will see what Hebron has to say tomorrow depending on how close the scores are by WOW WOW WOW, Pearland was amazing! So much emotion into that performance, super clean, really great design, and the usage of the props to show of their soloist just elevates the show to the next level. Just some great stuff happening in this program, can't wait to see the second performance, incredible job Pearland! Veterans Memorial-before the curtain: Dare I say I spoke too soon...... VM just KILLED that performance! Absolutely adore the theme, and the execution is top tier! Great usage of the props to set up their soloists, so many exposed moments that just nailed, I mean WOW, the crowd was eating this show up! I really hope the judges liked at just as much because I really want to see them again, just such an amazing performance!
  5. Seven Lakes-shine: Digging these uniforms right off the rip! So many different colors, really helps them pop. Great dance solo that transformers into the whole group. Some hard choreo they are nailing. Great flag soloist as we introduce more and more colors to the scene. Really well together flag moment as we move in some rifle work split across the tarp withe flags in the background. Flag work was definitely the highlight, very together and well-coordinated, and the different colors through the show help so much, amazing job 7L! New Braunfels- lost at sea: Lovley flag soloist to kick us off as build into a big flag moment mixed with sabers. Another group with mixed uniforms which I really appreciate. Soloists were great all around, though I do wish the show was a tad bit more demanding, but they are killing what they've got so far. The yellow and white flags look great against the dark blue sea tarp to close the show as we sail away into the sea, great job NB! Fulshear- in the rough: Some very beautiful flag work to open us up with some challenging rifle work going on in the back that they are killing! Yeah this is a super talented group. So much difficult intertwined flag and rifle work the are killing. Great usage of the backdrops as transitions to bring different equipment. Love the rainbow-colored flag work at the end, really helps add a lot to the theme, and it's very in time, amazing job Fulshear!
  6. Rouse: Missed the first half, but what I was able to catch was really good! Loved the uniforms, and there rifle moment was sooo clean! Flag soloist did a great job of distracting us as we move into a big flag moment behind the soloist before it all comes together, awesome job Rouse! Harker Heights-dot dot dot: Really enjoy the opening and I think the usage of the little yellow ball props is a very smart and easy way to add GE. Great rifle work to open us with the dots being bounced around them. We move into some very bright flag work for a moment as we now have some hula-hoops. Some dirt which is a lot more exposed since there's no narration, just some pretty quiet music, however the got it together for the end with a big gold flag moment which was really good, great job HH! Round Rock JV: Great opening dance work and use of the tarp as we enter some really beautiful flag work. Love the dark purple against the mixture of green and blue uniforms. Great transition into the big rifle work that was very good, great variety between solos and big groups moments, and then they go back into some big expressive flag work, soloist was great. Good overall show, they didn't announce the title so it's hard to read into the theme, but an amazing performance from RR JV!
  7. College Park A-Once upon a time: Great flag soloists with some dance-work in the back. Love the gold uniforms against the white/black tarp. Really like how when talking about the hero's we get bright colored flags and dark for the villain. Great solo moments, but a good amount of dirt in their rifle moments. Their flag work however was super clean and powerful, great job CP! Allen-Autum Leaves: Very nice opening dance section and saber work to start us off as we introduce some gold flags in the background. Love the glitter to represent the brown Autum leaves. Great Big flag work in the middle and moving up of the rifle work. I think at times it's a bit to slow, and could be a tad bit more demanding, but they executed the show very well, great job Allen! North Shore Senior: Had an audio issue in the beginning but the kids pushed through ( they didn't have the soundtrack to be specific)! Great flag duet and dance-work in the start. Great rifle soloist and big group moment, some very difficult passages they are killing, and the flag work in the back really helps add a nice tough of color. Really smart staging, using the heart props as a way to set up some solo moments. Very small dirt, and just a great beautiful performance all around, amazing job NSS! Also, I did miss Mcarthur, Lake Belton and Terrel, had some tummy issues lol
  8. Terry-when one door closes: Some really nice flag work to start us off as the members begin to enter the stage through the big door props. Love the staging and the mixing of the flag and rifle work. Really nice texture of green against the white and black tarp and unforms. The narration helps carry the story along the show, and the music in the second half really helps intensify the GE the performers are producing, great job Terry! Westwood- attention earthlings: Love me an alien show, and Westwood's was amazing! Great dance-work and awesome rifle soloist in the start as we pick up the pace. Great flag work in the middle as they transition into a big and very clean rifle moment and then into a big flag moment which they killed! Love the pink flags and uniforms against the spacey tarp as we finish our story on Earth, great job Westwood! Hebron-If I only: HOLY CLEAN Hebron!! They won SA at Dallas for a reason and they are here to do it again! Nearly flawless run from them. So much emotional expression from each performer, and that helps bring out the show and GE. Soloists were great, love the big flag moments throughout, just such a great show, amazing job Hebron!
  9. James Bowie-behind the curtain: James Bowie, what are yall cooking! Holy CLEAN! That opening had me shocked when I saw the tiny curtains moving only for them to be people covered by them! Rifle work was the highlight for sure!! That soloist was absolutely nailing their part, as well as the group. Such a great colors for the flags and great usage of the props, just an stunning performance that was executed so well with so much going on all the time, amazing job James Bowie! Coppell-In Fantasia: Much like Reagan, this group has improved significantly since Dallas. Looks like they added some new choreo to the start, which was really nice. Love this flag trios mixed with the saber work going on, the green flags pop really nice against the crystal prop and black tarp. Really smart staging during the rifle section, and it's a super cool effect with the crystal color changing as they introduce the big flag moment to conclude the show, great work Coppell! Lake Travis- Bluetooth: Great job from Lake Travis to close out our SO groups! Rifle soloist killed it at the beginning as we move into some very fun dance work. Really impressive weapon work, plenty of variety between flags and rifles, a tad bit of dirt but still very impressive. I think the biggest thing for me was connecting to the story, it's easy to follow but I feel like is missing something, but the performers themselves did great, amazing job LT!
  10. Ronlad Reagan-Sweep the Matriarch: SO much improvement from this group between Dallas and today! Opening soloist nailed her saber solo, and the small group did great, love the flag work that gets mixed between it all. This looks like a completely new guard. Almost no dirt, and their rifle sections were much cleaner than last time, and the GE feels mor expressive from the performers. Love the orange flags against the purple uniforms, just great stuff all around, should score much better this weekend and possibly make finals, as there was sooo much improvement, amazing job Reagan! Dawson-petrified: WOW Dawson! First off, huge shoutout to their male performer was stayed frozen or petrified almost the entire show, I know I could not stand that still for that long. The performance itself, so clean! Loved that into with the male and female soloist to help dive into the story. Such intense rifle work throughout, great usage of the props, and I really loved the color variety. Just another SO group that was unbelievably good, so much to love from that show, wonderful job Dawson! Friendswood-song for you: Holy cow F-wood!! Super clean performance from this super talented group! First half is all rifle work, with plenty of super challenging solo, duet and full group moments that were all very demanding. Love how they use the expanding props to set up their soloists/groups, super smart staging and effective way to get your attention to where it should be. Second half is some super beautiful flag work that's very in time, another incredible performance from one our SO groups, amazing job Friendswood!!

Really digging this mirrored stuff going on between the props, and the show offers so much and they are giving you as much as they can from it! Talent is off the charts, mind blown from after that, ty CR for that incredible performance! Earl Warren-dandelion: amazing rifle soloists they are being circled by the other members as more rifles either the scene with some beautiful flag work going on in the background. These SO groups are killing it right now, because they just killed that run. So much emotions that amplify this beautiful story. Just magical, amazing job y’all! College park: really nice dance scene to set the stage. GREAT JOB rifle soloist as we move into some intense rifle work. Love the neon blue flags against the pink and black uniforms and tarp. Yeah Im just blown away by SO. Such a groovy show, the slightest bit of dirt but the talent of the whole groups is insane. darn that ending was crazy!!! It is gonna be super tight in SO, almost a good thing Marcus isn’t here my god if they were, but amazing job CP!!
  13. Moe&Gene Johnson-the Gatsby party: Some great rifle and flag work to get us started! Love these uniforms and props, definitely helps bring out the theme. It’s definitely party on the floor, lots of bodywork, very nice flag moment with our main character in the middle. I do think the show could use some more difficulty, it focuses a bit to much on the story/dancing and not equipment usage, but it’s a great show design wise, and they performed the heck of out it, great job Johnson! CTJ-save me: Great stuff CTJ!! Their flag work was definitely the highlight of the show. Started off with some really impressive rifle work, soloist killed it and then moved into some huge and very colorful flag work that was just spectacular. Could have used a tad bit color variation, but so much talent in this group, amazing job CTJ! Westlake- this tree: love the opening with all the members behind the props coming out to the famous orchestra tuning process. Amazing saber soloists, love the colors, the white tarp helps the red uniforms stand out. Jack.C.Hays-bridges: super expressive opening moment with the props as we move into a saber quartet that evolved into some rifle work. Really great staging of the performers, and I love the color palette. Great big and colorful flag moment, definitely some nervous soloist but still a great performance from Hays! Winston Churchill- momma this one’s for you: very beautiful show! Great and very emotional flag work and rifle duet to start off the show. Really good group for their size, and their expressiveness helps bring out the theme. Plenty of solo moments that they kill and tons of GE. 15. Joshua- second star to the right: Super good saber small group to open up this magical show as we have some starry flag work going on as well. Love the PJ-looking uniforms. Awesome rifle moments throughout, though some dirt at times, maybe some nervous, but still solid. Very big gold flag moment to close out the show. I think once the show is a bit cleaner, it will have some great potential, but regardless great job Joshua! Foster-one thing leads to another: Really cool jazzy detective show! Unfortunate rifle drop at the start but the soloist did great with saber trio! Really great flag work in the background of the small saber group, and the tan uniforms go great with the bright blue tarp and flags. Love the usage of the big tree props, and the color plate is very nice. Great rifle work as things gets kicked off. The theme is a bit hard to follow, but they execution is definitely there. Really great flag work with tons of colors, though the bright neon green against the green uniforms was a bit distracting at times, think they could use better colors for the flags at times that don't take away from the performance, but an amazing job by the ranger guard!
  18. Cypress Woods: WOW!!! I see why they've been having such an incredible season because that was CLEAN. Love the opening bodywork with our saber soloist. Another very clean performance, amazing job Cedar Park!
  19. Weiss-A wash of color: Great start to today! Really nice bodywork to open up the show. Really love the different colors throughout the show. I do wish and think, that the show could have been a tad bit harder. It was a very slow show, and the weapon work followed, with very little to get from the show. The flag work was very colorful, and the soloist killed it. The team is super talented and could definitely handle a harder show, but it was still very enjoyable, great job Weiss! Hebron JV- good life: Love the dance work to open up the show. These orange uniforms look so good against the green, black and white tarp as we move into some real impressive flag work. Super talented rifle soloist in the middle of the beautiful flag movement, amazing slag trio after the rife moment as we close out with some more big flag work. These girls aren't far behind the varsity group, super talented. Do wish there was some more tosses all around, but still an amazing job Hebron JV! Clements- harmony in haring: Great opening dance work between our saber and flag duet as we move into some big saber work with flags in the background. 20. Good morning, everyone! We are here live on Flomarching for the WGI Austin regional. It's gonna be a great day of guard and I'm super excited to see some shows for the first time, as well as some familiar faces. There is a BIG Baylor Basketball game at noon, so I will be multi-tasking during that, but I still plan to cover all the groups during that time. Good luck again to all the guards as we will begin shortly!
  21. Good luck to all the guards tomorrow! I’ve seen clips of TW’s, but I like to have my first view live, so I’m soooo excited for them, gonna be a great weekend of WGI!
  22. Do note that we don’t know about Tarpon Springs yet. They normally come on even years so if they come, Argyle would be fighting for 2nd/3rd, bc no AA band is close to TS at the moment
  23. I do believe so yes. Ik Whitesboro went once but they were class A so I do believe they will be the first AA band from tx, super exciting
  24. Ladies and gentlemen, the 8 time state champion, Argyle high school, is heading to grand nationals!!! A very high chance of being AA champions, and being now the 6th band so for confirmed going to GN’s! They also released their show for this season: A Pictures worth. Seems very cool, and it’s gonna be great watching these kids in Indy, can’t wait Argyle!
