Keller's show was probably the shortest of all of the finalists. They also had issues with the music at the beginning which could have caused some nerves. Though they placed 5th, as you said, they could have easily been anywhere from 3rd-6th. The real story here is Wakeland in a solid 2nd place!

Yeah, Keller has a really short program on the field right now. Hopefully next week they will have more at BOA DFW

I know a song called "While Restless on my Bed I Lie" and it sounded very much like it- so now I'm curious if the song I know is actually a more famous tune that I didn't realize.

Wow! I was very impressed by Southlake Carroll. They have improved so much in the past few years.

JJ Pearce is a mystery to me. I loved their show at Waco a few years back. It seems schools from Richardson have a really strong emphasis on concert band and it seems to translate to the marching field as really beautiful musical performances.

Will this contest be streamed?

Wylie and Wylie East should be there for sure. Lebanon Trail had a great season a couple of years ago- not sure how they've been since. Sherman, Rockwall, and The Colony are all good bands also. Also Melissa and Anna are both great smaller schools. They could really surprise. Very great lineup here!

I watched the live stream of the game last week. Before their performance they announced the rough size and unfortunately I can't remember it. I do remember being pleasantly surprised because in the past they always said "275 strong" and I think it was more than that this year. I'll be watching the stream again this week vs. Southlake Carroll. The quality of the stream isn't very good, but hopefully I can see roughly where they are at.

I'm so excited to finally see what Keller can do in a competition this year. Its been too long!

I'm interested to see how Cy Woods and Klein Oak compare with Clear Brook here. Plus a few groups that we haven't really seen yet that can make a splash (I'm looking at you, North Shore)

Some VERY surprising results here. Martin seems extremely low and I had no idea McKinney was so good.

Cedar Ridge was very entertaining. I love the use of "Superstitious" throughout the show. Very funky and fun.

Did I lose track of the date? Because I was thinking this was still September. I can't fathom a band being that good so early in the season. Then again, Vandegrift is the reigning GN champion.
