Is anyone here going to be there when they announce the finalist for Area C?    Just trying to see the fastest way to figure out if
I am going to attend since it's a bit of a drive to get there from Plano.   I can't make it during the day but might talk my husband into going 
if any of the Plano bands make it into finals (Well PSHS or PESH since I've had kids in both ) .    I figure it's my last chance to see them all
play this year (at least in person!).

Flo Mo, Hebron, and Marcus are for all practical purposes state locks.
Other spots are a tossup between Wylie, McKinney, John Horn, Plano East, Prosper, and Sachse. Any combination could happen

Can someone in the stands write down what happens at the award ceremony for prelims?

All the Region 25 bands received a one.  For 6A that is Plano, Plano East and West.  Allen and Wylie.  I believe all the 5A schools did as well.

Yesssss!!!!! I love Arrival of the Birds!!!!! I like this show already!!!

Flo's complete monopoly on the streaming and recording of the marching arts is incredibly frustrating. Especially due to it being nearly twice as expensive and half as good as videos used to be (ESPECIALLY in terms of stream quality). The fact that their extreme price buys me a stream that can't decide if it's 1080p or 144p, or if it's recorded on high quality sound equipment or a flip phone is disgraceful. That's not even mentioning the adds that crashed my stream after every band (exclusively rocket mortgage I might add) or the fact that we get no archive of any kind. It's shamefully bad flo. For the sake of the students, parents, and Educators, get it together.

Carmel swept-ish in 2017 in finals and swept for real in finals in 2018.

Greetings everyone! I’ve been lurking in the sidelines following everyone’s comments and the topic of band fees is a subject that is near and dear to me, having spent 12 years as the President of the Vista Murrieta boosters. To put things in perspective, in Calif it’s illegal to charge any band fees or fees for travel, plus there is almost no funding from the schools or districts. Plus, all staff except the Director, is paid by the boosters. So when you see a Vista Murrieta or Ayala (for the most part the only two bands in the state that travel) 100% of their operating costs (travel, music, instruments, uniforms, staff, etc) are covered by donations and fundraising. Just a trip to GN or San Antonio is a $275,000 expense, plus normal operating costs.
 
For us, trips like this are all about providing our kids with positive life experiences, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the wonderful hospitality of everyone in San Antonio! Thank you!!!

I’m really happy Plano East was still able to perform. That show made me feel so happy.

Since I have been keeping mine on  high cam on and not switching between the two, I don't seem to have the issues.  Keeping my fingers crossed that continues!    

Loved the Wylie East trombone feature!

OK, I can handle a few ads, but this Rocket Mortgage ad is getting old running it 4 times in a row between bands!

Our run went so well and I felt so good at prelims last night. Can’t wait to see what happens.
