brassdad
Ahhhh, didn't realize it was near the Legacy C of C! I've been there many times. Good people there, and the parking lot is HUGE! I am told there will be a school bus acting as shuttle from the Legacy CofC parking lot for prelims only, from 10am - 6pm. Legacy is a little under a mile from the stadium. Avisshadow
I wouldn’t discount iHop y’all. They tasted pretty good at boa Atlanta last year. True, but I feel their performance isn’t as strong this year. Hoping for a comeback!
FaultLineBlues
True, but I feel their performance isn’t as strong this year. Hoping for a comeback! Especially after their last minute uniform change to the burger style? Why break tradition when the vintage pancake uniforms have been a building block of the organization? Crown2018
Geez, enough with the Whataburger hype. They haven't even won a contest this season. Super overrated. I thought they won Texas fast food classic? FaultLineBlues and LeanderMomma
eeman0201
I thought they won Texas fast food classic? They just won cause of their historical name. The judges are sooooo biased. I even heard one of them was from corpus. LeanderMomma
Percmom21
Bueno would be my first choice there, but hubby doesn't care for mexican food so Whataburger it would be for us!

brassdad
Wow, thanks for all of the parking and restaurant info. I should be good! I know I have probably been in that area before (my MIL lives not too far away), but I couldn't remember specifics. Taking a break from food rankings to post something I forgot to about actual logistics. Shuttle is prelims only from the Legacy Church of Christ parking lot from 10a - 6p (8801 Mid Cities Blvd, North Richland Hills, TX 76182) Also, this event is CASH AND CHECK ONLY. No credit cards will be accepted. $3 for students 6-17, $5 adults, under 6 is free This and more information is available at https://www.uilregion5music.org/area-marching-band/

Now my dilemma will be whether to wear something to support Plano Senior or Plano East! PSHSMom
One other stadium question. I think when I look at the stadium home side they have seats with backs and not bleachers. Is that true? Or are the chairs with backs just in the very center with regular bleachers on the side?

LeanderMomma
Oh my word, you guys are killing me with the restaurant comments. Is there anything we band parents won’t turn into a competition?

LeanderMomma
Just sew them together like a crazy person. That’s what I was going to suggest. Cut both in half down the middle and sew them together. I would TOTALLY do it for you if you lived close by.

Rudedog34
Seating capacity at event stadiums. Number of steps to the top row. Elevator to press box or no. Entrance and exits to field. Dimensions of jumbo tron. Bush's, Golden Chick or Chick Fi La. Sweet tea or no. We could debate it all, but in the end ALL the bands performances trump anything we could root out to discuss. LeanderMomma
If anyone attending this contest has a little time to kill and loves Mexican food, there’s a fabulous little sit down restaurant called Anna’s Mexican Grill in a strip mall off Cheek-Sparger Rd, about 7 miles from the stadium. Brassy
I ❤️ Band Parents! Come Saturday, I will cheer and clap for all those kids who have worked so hard, but my fingers will be crossed for my beloved Spirit of Waxahachie! Good Luck and clean runs! Or are the chairs with backs just in the very center with regular bleachers on the side? Yes, only the section that sits on the 50 yard line is seat with backs- 45 yard line to 45 yard line. We typically bring in our stadium seats and don't even try to sit there lol
