It's crazy cedar ridge is in the bottom half. But congrats to westalke and dripping springs for making top half.

Instead of letting the two class winners perform exhibition thus leaving out only Gatesville from getting a 2nd run, they are gonna have all 3 perform.

I agree about Ridge. Not totally surprised considering the depth of this comp but still a little shocked. Congrats to all the finals and class champions, happy everyone gets a second performance!

Coming out of lurking to post. Surprised with the results. I had Cedar Ridge higher. Same with Rouse but what do I know? 😂😂

Agreed. I'm not 100% counting on it, but if there was ever a finals where I could see things shift, it'd be here. It felt like a lot of the runs in prelims left the door open a little.

I know it is early season, but dripping springs in top half over Cedar Ridge and Round Rock is promising for their hopes of making GNats finals this year.

I didn't watch this contest, so I don't know what I actually think about the prelims results. But as a Westlake stan, I approve of them. 😅

Maybe it was visual (and more specifically their guard) that gave Westlake the edge? Vista Ridge sometimes struggles there early season.

Man it was pretty hot out there on the field today.  Glad we finished up prelims early.

I only got to see Westwood since they went right before us.  I really enjoyed getting to  hear their version of Children Will Listen, luckily it was a very different interpretation than ours. 

Really proud of the kids, this is the best run they've had all year and they're for sure going to strive to top it tonight.

Agree with the sentiment above, Vandy has to be the favorite but I think it's wide open.

What the heck. Prelims at these kinda comps are always so crazy. Big factors like heat need to be considered have a definitive answer on the placements. Big congrats to westlake. If they keep anything remotely like that in finals, we might have a new state finalist in our hands.

I think he's referring to Dripping Springs the last time they went to Nationals, and yeah I agree I really thought they were going to that year.
