And check out BISD taking home #1 & #2! YAS! Love it! What a fun contest to watch (even if it was live feed vs live lol) Haltom blew me away. All the bands gave their all. It was awesome!

The only realistic indicator this season for Prosper getting into GN finals would be if they win 5A state finals.

Pearland missing is probably the most bummed out at a result I've been in a really long time.  

The cost is $10 for prelims, $10 for finals or $15 for the whole day.  Discounts for seniors.

I really need to start following this contest more.  There are six different states represented here. It's like a condensed version of the St. Louis regional. First of all, Irondale decided to make the trip to Oklahoma all the way from Minnesota to attend a marching invitational! That's pretty amazing (and it's not even their first time to attend).  Can you imagine a band like Kennesaw Mountain deciding to show up to the Texas Marching Classic or the Birdville festival?

Apparently this contest used to be much larger and Texas bands only started attending a few years ago.  I wonder if we'll start to see more attend in the future.  Maybe it'll breath more life into the contest and other bands will decide to come back.

Yeah, I think #teamtexas will do very well here .

This contest will be super killer!  I'll be very intrigued to see how these Houston bands have done since dealing with unfathomable amounts of rain last month.

Just noticing waxahachie was 6th in prelims which is awfully impressive for them (I'm sure vistas early time has something to do with this but still)- they've really blossomed into a top notch program these last 10 years, could absolutely see them medaling at state

This one is particularly awesome because it features me a lot.

I'm sure both bands have a great season ahead of them. Lake Ridge could very well make finals, since they beat Forney last night. Summit, I'm not sure yet because I haven't seen them.

Shout out to Pflugerville for being one (well, actually two) spots away from finals! I don’t think pville has been that close to making BOA finals since 2013 where they made BOA Austin finals.
 
Also great job Vista Ridge for a phenomenal performance and start to the season!

I wish we could've been at this contest. I remember playing Highland Park WAYYY back in the day when I was at Irving Mac. I would have loved to have seen their show. Congrats to Highland Park, too!!
