  1. time to predict yummy 1. Hebron 2. FloMo 3. Marcus 4. Prosper 5. McKinney Boyd (ugh I love their show so much) 6. I seriously don’t know
  2. alright, I’ll predict based off both scenarios. what would happen matter two schools tie for like 5th or up? Would they take both and announce 6th, or would they take the one with the lower GE score and put them in 6th?
  3. Anyone know how many bands advance to state?
  4. Do they live stream this contest? I really want to watch.
  5. So we have 4 bands advancing to state (I believe correct me if I am wrong), but here are my final predictions: 1. Forney 2. Poteet 3. North Mesquite 4. West Mesquite / Red Oak / Terrell idk who to put in 4th, but I’m most likely going with West Mesquite.
  6. I’m sending you a good luck. I know how hard it must be for y’all, but I know y’all will do incredible at area!
  7. putting in my two sense but perhaps this comp is a preview for 5A state seeing as most of the potential 5A finalists are attending. I know UIL tends to score differently, but it should give a rough idea of what could happen.
  8. all I know is that Forney advanced to Area, we got straight ones
  9. someone please post region 3 for 3A and 5A when they get announced fr (i know it’s later but oh well)
  10. in addition Forney also took home 5th in HEB Marching Contest this year, and also got prelims awards for Music Soloist and Visual Ensemble, as well as 2nd place in Class 5A.
  11. poteet’s supposed 9th in prelims and finals was actually Forney. my original message with that one dude earlier this thread wasn’t clear, but Poteet got 28th in boa north Texas (or boa prosper). Forney got 9th in prelims, advanced to BOA North Texas finals and took 9th with a score of 80.35, and Forney also got 13th overall in BOA Bedford with an award in Class 3A for Visual Performance.
  12. idk if that would change anything in my predictions. I’ll wait and see until after region.
  13. I go to Forney, and we didn’t even attend that comp, so idk what you’re saying. Last week, we attended BOA Dallas and didn’t make finals, but still walked away with a caption and 3rd place in class 3A (boa classification is different). Poteet attended the same comp (BOA Prosper) Forney did this week. Poteet walked away with 28th versus us making finals and walking away with 9th in both prelims and finals. Don Hanna is an easier competition compared to BOA, so it’s not easy to judge the two schools when they are so different.
  14. I just looked at poteet’s prosper score again and I agree. I hope they work out the show before region or even Area. They need to really consistently clean up the show.
  15. Time to predict this area yummyyyy 1. Forney 2. Poteet 3. Anyone else (all of the shows I’ve seen from this area are actually good, I’m serious when I say any one of the other Area C schools can take 3rd).
  16. plus Forney beat Aledo at HEB, but we’ll see how everything goes.
  17. it truly depends on the run and the judges. knowing how things go, it’s either going to be Aledo > Forney > LS > BC or Forney > Aledo > LS > BC for state. I love BC, but putting them over Leander is an overstatement.
  18. That’s what I noticed, they’re a little less than 2021, but they’re still thriving!
  19. Plus Forney and Lonestar beat BC at BOA Dallas last week. Even in UIL contests, it’s Forney and Lonestar over BC.
  20. Poteet got 28th in Prosper, but their show is better compared to past shows (2020-now). I think their show is more UIL based, so I think they’ll do wonderful here.
