  1. This means only 4 will advance likely in Area B? That’ll be tough.
  2. WAIT LINK THE POST! I might actually buy streaming just for Grand Nationals.
  3. Redoing my predictions: 1. Rouse 2. Cedar Park 3. Leander 4. Wakeland 5. Forney / Aledo 6. Forney / Aledo 7. Hendrickson 8. Colleyville Heritage 9. Lonestar 10. Friendswood 11. Burleson Centennial 12. Jack C. Hays / Foster / Richland / Roma
  4. BOA scores ≠ UIL Scores; Centennial is wonderful, but don’t count out Friendswood in finals. They are a wonderful program.
  5. UGHH I LOVE ROUSE! I saw their BOA Austin performance, and I loved it!! There is no way they don’t get 2nd or win! I hope I can see their show in person at State!
  6. don’t worry, we’re changing stuff 😉😉
  7. I will say we changed stuff after BOA Dallas. I cannot wait for your thoughts after we perform!
  8. I genuinely am excited for this competition! I can’t wait to see how everything plays out!
  9. oh yikes. makes me feel a tad better, but still bummed nevertheless.
  10. I’m a little bummed about us not making finals, but I want to say congrats to everyone who made finals! Y’all were incredible!
  11. AHHH I LOVED YALL! YALL WERE INCREDIBLE!
  12. Late reply, but THANK YOU SO MUCH! We were very proud of our run, and we hope you will enjoy seeing us at Prosper next week! I actually loved Lone Star’s show, I have them a sneaky finalist band. I am very pleased with all of the performances so far! Genuinely think this competition is diverse and will see a sleuth of finalist potential! :))
  13. Me too, I’m mixed on where to put them.
  14. Yummy list. While Keller over Wakeland is possible with the right run, the chances are too low to depend on it. Plus Wakeland is crack by this point, along with Keller, so ultimately it just depends on the run.
  15. And Forney’s! Forney is moving up to 6A next alignment because too many people are moving into Forney vs moving out (in all serious, love the new people, but it doesn’t stop me from making jokes about paying people to move out). I am sure Forney will be fine, but since this is my senior year, I won’t see how they hold up compared to the rest of the 6A schools
  16. Idk if HEB would modify this prediction, but Timber Creek just beat Keller. I do think it wouldn’t change since Keller usually has their life figured out by this point of the season. It’s something to consider, but I am moving Timber Creek up to 6th/8th and moving everyone else down one.
  17. I do see them in finals, but idk. they got robbed a few times, so it really depends on the judges and what they like.
  18. I just want to extend my congratulations to every group who competed yesterday! Everyone did a phenomenal job, and I watched every band in livestream (apart from my performing band). I am extremely impressed with Timber Creek and Keller; they did phenomenal! Marcus also did a wonderful job, but I just want to say Bryon Nelson’s show was amazing as well, and they did such a wonderful job! Everyone else did amazing, but those groups really wowed me! I will say that I know a lot of people were shocked when Timber Creek beat Keller, but I am just really proud, and was really unexpected! That’s the point of competitions, no matter how much you predict one thing, you will always have stuff not go according to those predictions. Also, I saw a comment bashing winners of certain awards, and I just want to say that everyone did an amazing job with soloists! I really liked all of the solos, but it depended on the judge’s taste. I was on the BOA Austin thread talking about how we making comments about how putting down other marchers isn’t a good move, and shows poor sportsmanship. We should all congratulate each other, even if we do not think a certain group should win, or get a certain award. Enough with the rant, I am extremely proud of every band who performed! I really hoped y’all liked Forney’s show, and we are proud of how we did. - Forney Band Marcher
  19. I honestly don’t know why. We just didn’t go, probably had something that same week, but I forget.
  20. Me neither! We are taught to not even mention results.
  21. I definitely agree! If kids are taught that winning is all that matters and about other bands, it promotes trashing other programs. (Probably better way of explaining, but I’ll describe more in the morning).
  22. In my experience, I’ve seen both. Once at state was the students, and once at Area was the parents (two different schools). Back in when my sister marched (2015-2018, graduated 2019), many of the parents were so nice and supportive. Now, it just feels like some of the parents and kids just trash each other.
  23. Forney High School 5A (Area C) - In the Arena https://youtu.be/HvPMtcVvAd8
  24. I didn’t name the school I mentioned trashing mine simply because I don’t stoop down to their level. If I name, I risk getting attacked by people who go to the school, and I am a high schooler myself.
  25. I’m a senior right now! The injury was a knee related one, but I’m currently doing better with it. My family was telling me that the parents’ jaws dropped when they heard they got lower than us. I even saw a few parents of the school have their mouths open. It’s a highlight of my overall marching season. I’m just happy for Rouse winning despite the other band’s parents! I just watched their performance, and the show almost made me cry! I just know they’ll go a long way!
