Forney raises their own money for shows because the funding we get is not so great. Most the money we get is from these fundraisers and we put the money towards making the season happen (uniforms, food, transportation, etc). What makes Forney Forney is the band program itself. We almost never talk about results, and the directors have instilled a you reap what you sow mindset into us. Also, Forney starts kids as early as 6th grade, and that’s why we have so many joining as well is because of this success. Ultimately, it’s not just money, it’s what you do with the program that gets you to where you are.

LETS GO! I am so glad that we got 4th, we didn’t expect it, but as i have said all season, all shocks are welcome. Congrats to Leander though! I love their show so much, and i hope they have a revenge season next year.

Also Forney had the same trend before it was broken i believe this year. Congrats again!

Oh be still my heart! I am so proud of everyone who made it to finals. I am extremely happy and proud of Forney! This has been an incredible season for us! EXACTLY! I don’t understand why people can’t be happy with each other and celebrate these achievements. I’m dumbfounded, but I’m just happy for everyone’s accomplishments this season!

Now for the proper post… CONGRATS EVERYONE! I am so proud of everyone, and even if tonight didn’t go the way you expected; you still did amazing! I am really really proud of all of the finals, you guys genuinely deserved it! I can’t wait for tomorrow, and to see how things shape up.

THIS IS IT! This is my last competition of the season (ever technically cause I’m a senior), and I couldn’t be any prouder of my band, Forney. We’ve been through so much this season, and I genuinely am glad I’ve had this opportunity for 4 years to be apart of this organization. I honestly regret not being in these forums sooner because y'all are genuinely the kindest people I’ve ever met. Anyway, enough with the blabbing. I just want to come here after getting some nice sleep and say CONGRATS!! I am genuinely proud of everyone who performed Friday and Yesterday. I want to congratulate Vandegrift on breaking a record and receiving their first BOA SASR title! I am genuinely so proud of everyone, regardless of rank. In order to not make this post too long, I’ll be adding 5 groups I believed stood out to me (groups that I watched, sorry Woodlands and Vandy Bandy, but I didn’t get to watch y'all’s run): 1. Marcus 2. Rouse 3. College Park 4. CTJ (i genuinely thought some kids in my band were lying when they said there were inflatable flamigos) 5. Wakeland (this is probably y’all’s best show yet that I’ve seen from y’all, proud of y’all) Anyway, I am extremely proud of my school, Forney! This is our highest placement yet, and this gives us hope that we could make finals within a few years. I am glad you guys loved Forney, because we felt like our run was really really good, and we’re gonna get better before state on Monday.
