  1. With this being said, here’s my new predictions: 1st: CP(all captions) 2nd: Rouse 3rd: M.G. Johnson 4th: Leander 5th: Aledo 6th: Jack.C.Hays 7th: McKinney North 8th: Lovejoy 9th: Burleson Centennial 10th: Roma 11th: Colleyville Heritage 12th: Richland/The Colony
  2. I’ve also heard the McCallum has dropped from HornRank, reason unknown though
  3. This is what they’ve always done if I remember correctly. It’s a little unfair yes but it’s not really convenient for the kids to have to miss school on the make up day either
  4. Super happy that this will be at my current home at Baylor! The Golden Wave Band is trying to hopefully do a standstill performance between prelims and finals if we can get enough people to perform as we were told last week, but if not I plan on attending as much as possible! Never seen a military marching contest but I’m super excited to see!
  5. Okay after watching everyones most recent performances, here’s my final rankings by rank 1st: Ceder Park( all captions) 2nd: Rouse/MG Johnson 3rd: Rouse/ MG Johnson 4th: Hendrickson 5th: Leander 6th: Aledo 7th Jack.C.Hays 8th:Lovejoy/Mckinney North 9th: Lovejoy/Mckinney North 10th: McCallum 11th: Burleson Centennial 12th: Roma
  6. Very solid list. Also, Lovejoys show is Tree of Life
  7. very solid list and will probably be close to what finals looks like
  8. I feel like Krum has a great shot at State this year! They have an amazing show, and came up on top of some good schools( China Springs, Frisco reedy, Whitesbouro) at boa dfw, and won a contest the week before over some good 4A bands this will be here. It’s a beautiful show and if they have cleaned up will be a big threat. For me, I’d have Canton Anna Willis point Krum Some other bands have a shot as well. It’s going to be a tuff comp this year
  9. I saw them at dfw and was just absolutely blown away! They have such a strong and clean sound(especially that brass). They look amazing and it’s a really good show design with plenty mix’s of solos, ensembles and full band sounds! They definitely had a better prelims run hence their lower placement, but wow they are so good this year! But yeah anything could happen, will be probably they bloodiest of area b bloodbaths ever!!!
  10. I have seen this run already, and while I do think it's great, at least imo, they aren't over Bell, who I have seen live at bow dfw (and keep in mind they were over Keller and waxa here), and Timber Creek, but again, just my opinion, as anything could happen here, but I'm definitely rooting Lake Ridge on to make state
  11. yes but we do have to forget about Wakeland, and I'm NOT trying to start drama, but I think we could all agree that they would have been here if this was a state year
  12. no Timber Creek. Yes they haven't competed recently but after seeing them at dfw, there's no way they don't make it, especially if they have cleaned up which I'm sure they have. And don't sleep on Bell! they are doing amazing this season Here's my top 6 1st: Coppell 2nd: Keller 3rd: Waxahachie 4th: Bell 5th: TC 6th: SLC/Dville/Lake Ridge
  13. Yeah I saw pretty much all the finals on YouTube and everyone who went up had a better final run and vis-verses
  14. I’d say this is a solid list, but I don’t see Argyle over any of those bands. They do amazing in UIL judged contest, but not boa scored comps, and yes they did get 4th, that 8th in prelims is not a good sign, snd I think there are more than 12 bands here that could and probably will beat them
  15. Congrats on yall's first area win, was defiantly deserved!!! Lonestar is getting so good and will be a threat to reckon with for many years to come.
  16. Well everyone, now that Area is out of the way, here are my final predictions. I'm just doing a top half bottom half, and I am basing my placements less off area and more off contest these bands have gone to that are boa or judged in a boa style, and just their overall season I'm also considering performance times partly, and while I know this doesn't all the bands, it's going to be pretty cold up till the end of the second block, with a high of 70 and low of 53 Top Half: Ceder Park Rouse Leander Hendrixson M.G. Johnson Aledo Bottom Half: Jack.C.Hays Mckinney North Lovejoy Roma Mccallum Last spot: The Colony/Burleson Centennial/ Colleyville Heritage
  17. I haven’t heard anything about them not being allowed to do it….I think they just opted out since it wasn’t state like Burleson Cenntenial did this year as well as other bands.
  18. Yeah I didn’t look lol! Best of luck to you @Jack_0131
  19. If it were a state year it would be Aledo, Heritage Brewer and Richland, but it’s only state for 2A,4A and 6A
  20. No but it's taking a good while after the retreats for them to be put online but hopefully they are posted soon
  21. Yeah, definitely some major changes... wouldn't be surprised if better weather was a big factor
  22. Congrats to all! That's HUGE that Plano East was 5th. Could these guys be a new threat in area C for next weekend? and of course to Wakeland! What a way to end an incredible season with one heck of a show!
  23. So it looks like: 10th: Saginaw 9th: Grapevine 8th: Summit 7th: Birdville 6th: Azle 5th: Midlothian 4th : Brewer 3rd: Richland 2nd: CH 1st: Aledo Congrats to everyone!!!
