For those who don't know already, Wakeland will now be going to the Duncanville competition. with all that happened at region and everything else, here are my final predictions: 1st: Lonestar 2nd: Lebanon Trail 3rd: Lovejoy/Independence 4th: Lovejoy/Independence 5th: Centennial 6th: Mckinney North 7th: Argyle/Princeton 8th: Argyle/Princeton 9th: The Colony 10th: Melisa/Liberty/Heritage/Reedy

They got a 2 at Region for going overtime due to props breaking at the beginning and then starting late, but I’m so glad they are coming here now! They definitely and probably will win!!!

Wow, really sad for these kids, but I’m super happy even more that they won last night!!! Hoping that possibly because of this, they may go to BOA San Antonio, but I’m not getting my hopes up too high, but I would love to see them there!

I don’t know maybe it was just me, but it just looked like there were certain moments that were simple that could’ve had more affect, but I have no doubt that they are going to do well at this contest.

LETS GO WAKELAND!!!!! They definitely deserved this! That show is something on a whole other level!!! If only they were going to San Antonio! Congratulations to all!

I know!!! I’d be surprised if the first band out was barley out! So many great bands here today!

I do think they have improved a lot, but I don’t think we will see the in finals in area. Probably at least 5 out. It’s a good show, but they need more power and be a bit more clean for finals at area b. I think Keller and TC are both doing amazing and will probably both be at state. KC is also having a great season, and they may shock some people at area and place well in finals. Wouldn’t be surprised if they made state.

I complete agree! Have been watching on box5 since Wylie East. Everyone has sounded amazing! I LOVE LOVE the Rockhill show and am so happy I got to see it live last weekend! I will admit, I was a little surprised prosper only went up to their ballad today, but it was clean.

I did see their exhibition on MMI, and while it was good, the visual program is quite simple, with a lot of play in place and block drill. They also need to clean after the ballad, and I also don’t know how the tap shoe part will transfer into UIL. I definitely see it helping with GE for boa. I’m now feeling more of the 10th-7th range for them. Here’s what I’m leaning towards now that pretty much all band don’t have any comps until this one 1st: Wakeland(Duhhhh) 2nd: Lonestar 3rd: LT 4th: Lovejoy 5th: Independence 6th: Argyle 7th: Centennial 8th: Meliss(they sound great and could place higher) 9th: Mckinney North 10th: Colony/Heritsge/Emerson(this really could be a good amount of bands)

OMG Yeaa🥳🥳🥳 Y’all have no idea how excited I am to perform for y’all in exhibition! I’m planning on going to finals and at least the 2 first blocks of prelims since our call time isn’t till 2:15, so I’d love to say hi!

And this is definitely the place to ask any questions regarding marching band! Everyone here loves helping new people to the activity! It’s a lot to remember with how all the process works and all the different scoring systems, so never hesitate to ask!

I don’t know what regions this area consists of, but if a band gets 2 1s and 1 2, they still qualify for area! So 0 or 1 2s will get a band to area, but I’d they get 2 2s, they wouldn’t qualify!

WAIT, they are only taking 5 this year??? Well that changes everything! For me, the 3 locks are CR,CTJ and Regan, with round rock, Westwood, Bowie and idk who else fighting for last 2. I thought this area normally took 6, so it looks like someone who normally makes it won’t which I hate for the kids, but it is what it is.

They really said let’s put all the Keller schools in the same block 😂😂 jk Ik it’s random, it’s just hilarious they are all in the same block!

Well music is only 20% of the bands overall score, visual is 20%, but GE is 60% of a bands total score, so that’s why a band can either get tanked or put ahead of bands that beat them in music and or visual.

While it’s possible, this comp is WAY more stacked than Midland. Im think like 3-6 out for them.

What about Westwood? I feel like there is no way they don't make finals here. I don't know much about Choctaw but I heard they were barley behind Owasso at a comp last week, but I could see Forney, Centennial or Heritage over Sachse.

With this comp a few days out, here are my final predictions. I could see the top 2 and 3-4 being changed, but here's what I'm going with 1. Wakeland(V/GE) 2. Westlake(M) 3. Waxahachie 4. Westwood 5. Southlake Carroll (Yes, last weekend didn't go as planned, but I have a feeling they will majorly bounce back here) 6. Owasso 7. Rockhill 8. Wylie East 9. Prosper 10. Choctaw(just here based on what I've heard about them) 11. Keller Central 12. Sachse/Boswell

Yeah i agree with this. Maybe CP barely takes them but I don’t think the Woodlands will. I personally think the Woodlands will be closer to the bottom half this year. It’s a great show, but I don’t feel like it’s gonna be on the same level as everyone else.
