Hebron: Odyssey FM: one word: WOW!!!!! Guys I don’t see them not winning this!!!! They are so freaking clean, and this is probably their hardest musical book yet(yes harder than last years)!!!! I don’t really get the theme but they are just already so freaking good! They might be back to back 6A champions, but holy crap!!!! So beautiful, just beautiful!!!

Waller: great sounds all around! They’ve got shoe drum set miced which is good at times and others not so much, but they look snd sound good!!! Great job Waller!

Marcus-Pivot: What a show!!! These kids sound incredible!!! It’s still the Marcus marching concert band!!’ They’ve definitely stepped up the volume from the past couple of years, and their soloists are fantastic as ever! Visual program is also great!!! Love this show!

China Spring-to bodly go:Amazing!!! I would be very surprised if they don’t win AA! They have such a great ensemble sound and march so well, with some amazing visuals! Gonna be a real threat for 4A state!!!

Aledo-empire city: What a show!!! Their soloist are so incredibly good, and they sound fantastic, as well as look fantastic! This will definitely be a crowd favorite this year! Come waco, it’s gonna so incredible! But wow these soloist today are just killing it!

Wakeland-SPT(y’all know what it stand for): OMG!!!! They are so freaking good, like beyond good!! If it was a 5A state year they’d be in contention for the gold! I will admit, all of their big hits are while they are holding, and it’s a good amount, but wow oh wow! This definitely could be top 5!

Whitesbouro-Rise: For a 3A UIL program, these guys are incredible! Love the musical selections!!! Some nervous in the soloist but their low brass is really good, and they look amazing as well!!!

Highland Park-New Frontier: Such a fun show!!! It was a decently easier program compared to the past 2 years, but they sounded fantastic!!! Loved the different brass and woodwind features! A little dirt, don’t think finals worthy simply due to the simplicity and the competition here but still a great run!!!

Good morning everyone!!!! Just arrived at Pennington field(just a little early lol)! I will do my best to write about each band after the previous one but if I don’t I’ll post by block! Really looking forward to today! I’ve got news from a friend that Hebron is doing their whole show 👀👀 Best of luck to everyone performing today!!!

I don’t think Sacshe will be that high. They are not the same program as last year in terms of difficulty and cleanliness. I’m thinking no higher than 8th, but Summit and Azle definitely have them, probably del rio. I’d have them 10th—12th, but i honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t make finals, but that would be hard.

What’s everyone thinking about Clovis? I think they definitely have a shot here? They have won 2 regionals so far. I’d be very surprised if they didn’t medal here.

No if i remember correctly North was 7th in finals last year. I have seen LT this year and they are still really good. They have a very UIL and boa oriented show, and if they clean it will be a big threat. I mean, they did tie with Lonestar for visual in prelims at Wylie, snd that’s saying something, but I’ll be live a boa dfw this weekend to see most of the top FISD schools, but predictions for this comp are so hard

Haven’t got the chance to see them yet… and I wouldn’t say they were robbed. I feel like everyone in this area is to good to see a change in placement from prelims to finals getting robbed. You could make a case for “robbery” for so many different times in this area, but everyone here is so talented. Also, after a couple weeks of comps, here’s my new list. It’s all based on comps results, but my final one will probably be way different 1st: Wakeland(they will win this) 2nd: Lonestar 3rd: Lebanon trail 4th: Lovejoy 5th: McKinney North 6th: Independence 7th: Centennial 8th: Argyle 9th: Melissa(maybe makes finals here???) 10th: Heritage

Here is a link to the Wylie ISD band night! Both of the program's sound and look amazing, and in my opinion, I think Wylie is ahead of East, by a decent Margin, but it's mainly a numbers thing. East sounds good but to many soloist/ sections features for my taste. Don't get me wrong they can play so well, but at least from the recording(Definitly may be different live), Wylie has a bigger ensemble sound, and dang are they clean! this show might end up doing better than out of darkness did(their 2019 show btw)! regardless the battle for this comp and Area C are going to be insane!

It’s possible over Wylie or Rockwall, but not Wylie East. I’d say personally top 5 are “locked” with everyone fighting for the 6th spot, but this weekend will be a huge determination with a lot of the top bands here fighting for 4th-6th competing at the McKinney comp

Totally agree! Would be super surprised if the scores within the top groups aren’t really close… or at least loser than normal! Marcus definitely could take Flomo as well!

Well everyone, we are less than a moth out from this amazing contest! so many of the groups are already looking really strong, and will be fabulous by the time this contest rolls around! With a few weeks of contest happening, here's my updated prediction list. Its just top 6 bottom 6 because I feel like a couple more weeks will help us know what placements in finals will look like: top half: Aledo Colleyville Heritage Ceder Park Leander Rouse Hendrickson bottom half: Argyle Lovejoy Burleson Centennial McCullum McKinney North Roma

They do definitively help. With this and how WMI and HEB went, id say, and this me assuming they are taking 5 again, the 5 going to state will be the 3 LISD schools, Prosper and Wylie East, with Wylie possibly slipping in. Don’t think Sachse is a great chance anymore, and John Horn over Heath isn’t a great sign either.

Good morning everyone! I’m super excited that I will be able to attend this event live again… crazy to think it’s already almost been a year since the last one! Everyone is already so good seeming, and I have a good feeling we may so bands in spots that we “aren’t use to seeing them in”. Here’s my predictions going into this weekend: 1st: Hebron(All Captions)- Use, I know this contest usually goes to Flomo and it still might, but after seeing Flomo this past weekend at Wylie, I don’t think they will take it this year. 2nd: FlowerMound 3rd: Wakeland: Yes I know this may be surprising to some, but I honestly believe they have what it takes to medal here. They were fantastic at HEB! It may be somewhat of a long shot, but not impossible. 4th: Marcus 5th: Coppell 6th: Keller 7th: Southlake Carrol 8th: L.D Bell 9th: Timber Creek 10th: Lone Star 11th: Aledo 12th: HP

I know!!!! I could only imagine being in it! I was with Lovejoy in area b for 5A the past 4 years and it’s beyond insane how good everyone there is. Something about area B y’all!
