We do that too....except we also say the office he/she holds (if any), what instrument they play, their grade, and thanks to the '06 seniors, what their favorite cereal is

I think the nastiest is a bathroom...I have a thing about public bathrooms because they're disgusting. The weirdest? I guess I'd have to say in a secluded hallway near the drama room and behind the band hall. I never saw anything actually go on but I did see a condom on some risers that were there. Ew. Does anything like that happen at your school?

For girls, overly priced and wayyy too small. Seriously, only those of us who are a size like, 0 can wear those (no offense to anyone). But I'm not complaining because I really don't like the clothes there anyway Is anyone (well, the person who posts next) in Student Council?

Because old people are awesome Who is ready for the marching season to begin?

KFC, because I have no idea what a Mrs.Winners is. Was anyone else as disappointed as I when they saw "Lady in the Water?" It was a waste of $8.50 and sooo not worth all of the hype

Well, his stuff is pretty good, but I honestly think others, like Whitacre, can also be considered one of the greatest composers of the late 1900s/early 2000s When do you guys start summer band rehearsals?
-
No, I didn't know that. All my school has done is local news! How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Chunk the V12's...Rue Lepics are much better. Yeah, it bites that the Rue Lepics are more expensive, but they last soo much longer. I use most (if not ALL) of the reeds in the Rue Lepic box and they give you a nicer sound.

Como WHAT?!?! (I heard that in "A Night at the Roxbury" I think...I'm not THAT bad at Espanol) And as for I<3thebox, I haven't gotten my AP Exam score back yet, but I probably made a 1 on my ENGLISH AP Exam. So don't feel too bad

This is an old pic of me...like, 2 years ago. I JUST took my Senior Pics yesterday, so I won't even have the proofs in for awhile. This will have to do for now

I have 3 years of Spanish and even though I only needed 2 to graduate, I wanted to try for the Distinguished Achievement Program so I went for the 3rd year. I'm soo glad to be out of Spanish because I'm not that good at it

The '06 graduation is tomorrow...it was originally going to be held in our football field outside, but with all the rain we've had (including a nasty thunderstorm that made our field look like a lake their for awhile---our last day of school was today) the school relocated to some place across town (Aldine?? Yeah, iono). We band kids are being cheuffered (sp?) by the school bus, lol. SENIORS 2007!! wHoOp!

It's official: we're losing our head BD too (Channelview). I have no idea who's taking his place, but he's going to Galena Park High School as their assistant BD -
double on instruments
ClaireAnnette07 replied to mnkyman's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
No--the guy who auditioned on both oboe and english horn actually advanced from 4A Pre-Area on both and had to choose which one he wanted to go to area on,lol. I think he actually chose oboe, if anyone wanted to know -

ClaireAnnette07 replied to mnkyman's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
Kind of, but Eb is in a different key (I know you're thinking "Duh") and it's harder to play since it's so small. And to the person who suggested I tryout on both, I don't think my region allows it. I believe the only time you can tryout on two instruments is on oboe/English Horn since some kid did it a couple of years ago from my school. -

I play Bb clarinet, but I REALLY want to tryout on 5A Eb clarinet next year. I figure that since we're forced to tryout on the 5A track next year and it will be my last chance to make state...ever. But then again, I know that only one Eb clarinet from each area (at least mine..I'm not sure about others) makes it to state and if someone else from my region decides to tryout, then I run the risk of not even making region. Aggh, I dunno what to do about that, but I'll attempt to practice on the Eb this summer if I can manage to get one -
Yeah, we get out June 1st because we started late...like, we started August 22 (or 21st, I can't remember). So yeah, this is my last week of junior year. Only 3 days until I can (finally!) call myself a SeNiOr!
-
I have my Pre-AP Pre Calculus final tomorrow. Oh, the joys of being in school a week longer than everyone else (we dont get out until June 1st...it's torture!)
-
I had to have that once---I had a really high fever and ear infection when I was like, six, and went to the ER and they gave that to me. I honestly don't remember what it tasted like. I was too sick to notice (not to mention that it happened 11 years ago!)

I can't exempt because I have too many absences. Our whole thing is that if you pass all TAKS portions (which I did!!) AND have 3 or fewer absences and have at least an 80 average in the class you want to exempt (I have all A averages), then you can exempt. Stupid absence rule....
