  1. While my SAT scores are decent, they aren't the best (timed test anxiety, ya know) so I don't have colleges in the state that are offering me thousands of dollars to go to their school. I have, however, been getting a lot of mail from Mississippi State University...and I'm not considering an out-of-state college. Texas is home for me! Oh, and LHS, you're awesome too! GO C-NETS!!
  2. I'm in the middle of applying to UT right now (my top choice, Hook em Horns!), but I'm also going to apply to Sam Houston (go Bearkats!), UTSA, and UH. I might even hang around my house and go to San Jac (a junior college) and finish up the credits I've already started and save $$$ (also, if i stay in band, I get help with books and stuff). All I'm certain about is that I'm majoring in history education..w00t
  3. I won't post my AP English III AP test score. It's THAT embarassing. But seriously, how well can you do when your neighbors' loud noise keeps you up until 2AM the night before and you were too lazy to get up and call someone about it? In all honesty, I'm not that great of a tester anyway
  4. Tecnically, I'm only in 2 AP Classes: AP Calculus AB and AP European History. I am in the Dual Credit program, where i get high school and college credit, for English and Economics (Govt 2nd semester) and that counts as AP credit for my school, minus that horrible horrible AP test! As for the National Merit Finalist thing, I made one of the higher scores in my school, but I'm not smart enough to get a 2200 on my PSATs or whatever..I only got a 1690 on those.
  5. Yep..I've had my license for almost two years (March 24 will be 2 yrs) and i drive a truck. yay for partial freedom! What would happen if Sylvester finally ate Tweety? (i love Tweety tho, lol)
  6. because you're aging fast and the memory is the first thing to go Why is region coming up so fast?
  7. Some of the guys (mainly trumpets) play football either in the huge grassy area in front of our school or in the soccer field. Others (aka--the ones with CARS) go to Taco bell and some end up going to CVS Pharmacy next to the school for last-minute gift buying for the Good Sportsmanship League (gee, I wonder who that is...?)
  8. Because teachers are lame and like to give as MUCH homework as they possibly can before all of the holidays (I have semester finals next month..eghh) Why do cars' speedometers have speeds up to at least 100 MPH (on my truck, anyway) while there are no speed limits that high?
  9. I hope so! Good luck with that Why can't I ever find the time to take my blue nail polish off?
  10. Maybe it was safest? Iono..it was Thursday morning before I left for my college Economics class, so I probably didn't hear it right. I'll check that out
  11. I wish we could have gone...we had to drop because of SATs, ineligibilities and other things..but I hope yall did really well!
  12. Ohh yeah..that was on in Houston, too! I think we're like, the 108th most dangerous city to live in in Texas...ahaha
  13. Definately Reeses Pieces! IHOP or Dennys?
  14. me too. Especially last year's region band chair auditions...that was really embarassing.
  15. Channelview High School in Channelview, TX, home of the Fighting Falcons! And to those of you who want to ask where it is, it's just east of Houston. I get asked where Channelview is A LOT,lol
  16. Yeah, i know...what I meant was when you're competing against schools with bands twice your size, it's harder to get a good score, so maybe we can get a somewhat better score because we're going against people our size. I can't wait for Saturday..it'll be my last marching band competition EVER [ and ]
  17. She's probably the same one who did the GPISD contest AND the Region 19 UIL too...REALLY boring and she reminded me of that Clear Eyes guy. But she did make me laugh at GPISD contest when she completely mispronounced up our DMs' names
  18. Nope, not yet...psh, seeing movies during marching season for me is like bungee jumping: NEVER GONNA HAPPEN! So, are you ready for 'region season?'
  19. There were 52 clarinets trying out last year in my district...I didn't get home until about 11:30-ish. From what I hear, this year the region decided to separate us by instrument instead of districts, so I'm thinking I won't get out of AUDITIONING until midnight!
  20. Good luck to all the Area F people! The contest is at Galena Park, right? I still want to see the shows even if we didn't advance
  21. Yeah dude, really Does anyone know what bands advanced to Area F? I know MacArthur did...I saw them screaming for joy
  22. I'm just glad my school (Channelview) is in a classification with the medium-sized bands...I hope it'll be easier for us at SHSU because of that
  23. Good luck to everyone in Area F! (especially Deer Park if they advaned because i know people in there..haha)
  24. Because there are more 5A schools than 3A? Iono..doesn't matter, cuz we're soo not going to playoffs this year anyway. Are you going to the SHSU contest?
  25. tuna and good don't belong in the same sentence Why am I dreading AND looking forward to the end of marching season at the same time?
