TTR: Not having to take TAKS this week..and getting pretty much the entire week off just because you're a senior
-
wow..I didn't know there was such a thing as Double Dave's
-
Wow. You guys make me feel real stupid..let's just say I didn't get a 1980! I suck at test taking, so it's pretty good considering that I expected like, a 1200. I actually got a 1640 the first time and a 1490 the second (I'd stayed up until 2AM eating at IHOP with my band friends after a football game)

ttr: Getting a $12,000 scholarship you didn't expect to recieve AT ALL

Thou shall not fail a class. Even if it's AP Calculus (which doesn't count for UIL, if anyone didn't know, which everyone here SHOULD..) Thou shall not blame tardiness to after-school band rehearsal on a train (which runs through the road our school is on so if you live in one part of town, you always catch it--luckily, I live on the side of town without one!) Thou shall not keep a reed so long you can't remember when you bought the new one Thou shall not be uninvolved in band booster-sponsored fundraisers Thou shall not throw things out the band bus window

Dude..you're crazy

TTS: Not getting into the UT Liberal Arts Honors Program

thou shall not wear sandals on the practice field (yes, we have a practice field) thou shall not screw up the drill team's halftime performance..on purpose thou shall not boo at other bands, unless they boo yours. On your field. When they took up the entire 20-ish minutes of halftime before your show. thou shall not underestimate the section leader's authority thou shall not have milk-drinking contests before practice thou shall not have reed debts (you won't get away with them) thou shall not steal an upperclassmen's bus seat thou shall not hang the uniforms up wrong ..I can't really think of anything else

TTS: a paper over Othello.. Due tomorrow. You just started at about 3PM. It was assigned Friday morning. You celebrated your 18th birthday yesterday.....uggggghhhhhhhhh

OMG...no spring break?? Can anyone even do that? That's just wrong!! I'm not going anywhere for spring break, though. I might hit up Galveston with a couple of friends, but that's not a big deal because I only live like, an hour away (including I-45 traffic, which, if you live in Houston, you know what I mean). Other than that, I'll be working on scholarship apps, working on my research paper, and practicing college music auditions
-
TTS: my best friends going away for spring break, and me staying in CV. ZzZzZ! Oh, and my mom pestering my about scholarships (again)

TTR: SPRING BREAK!!!!!

TTR: San Antonio Spurs beating the Rockets (I'm a traitor, I know, but I like the Spurs better anyway), finally understanding Calculus (unless I blank out on my test tomorrow) and my whole community coming together in a time of crisis. The crisis part should go into the whole TTS topic, but it was nice that thousands lined up outside by the road to pay last respects to our local fallen hero. It was really sad, but I realized that I shouldn't take my life for granted ...and now, I shall study for my Calculus test!

My ensemble didn't advance (we had so many changes done to it at the last minute), but I'm trying out for UT band that day. I think I will play my region music, just because I don't really have the time to learn something completely new. I might just play the Brahms solo I had last year. Any words of advice on college auditions? Oh, and congrats to all that advanced to state. The "Eine Kleine Nachmusik" ensemble or whatever it was called sounded awesome, by the way

Ohh I remember that prompt. I forgot what I even wrote about, but I got a 3...I wrote about marching band my sophomore year, and I think I got a 4

Things that Rock: 1. The weather..it's finally getting warmer down here! 2. Not having to come to school until noon because of underclassmen TAKS testing (yay for sleeping in!) 3. Not having a test today in my college English class..I thought there was one today, because the teacher implied there would be. 4. Finding out I'm graduating #6 in my class (I found out last week) 5. Finally getting some high notes out on my french horn 6. Having crazyjakeup make a topic about my idea
