I would go to San Jac (the north campus is 10 minutes away), but I already have college hours from the Dual Credit program so I would be out of SJCN relatively soon anyway. Not to mention that I'd REALLY like a change, and going to the same campus I'm already attending every morning isn't going to help, and I feel that if I don't leave home next year, I never will. I'm a baby,lol

because if you're like me, you're studying for midterms! AHHH! Why does Christmas music irritate me now?

The next band in Conference 5A is the Channelview Golden Falcon Marching Band from Channelview, Texas....

I'm going to major in History, but I plan on joining the concert band at UT or SHSU..I really dont want to be in marching band (I'm not a huge fan of it), but if I have to be to play in the concert band, then I'll be marching for another four years!

It's official: I am first chair, first band for the 3rd year in a row. Yay!

I've applied to UT-Austin and SHSU, but it won't go through until I send in my transcripts. My school is really slow, so who knows when THAT'LL be!

Organic Chemistry (aka AP CHEM) is DEATH. I switched from AP Chem to AP European History and don't regret my decision at all, especially since I've decided to become a History major

Only thing that happened to me was that I kicked the 'on-deck' chair while going to it, hit my butt on one of the auditorium seat armrest things (which really hurt!) and made the stupid mistake of drinking half a bottle of water right before my auditions and had to leave in the middle of the first etude to use the restroom! In my defense, there WERE 87 clarinets trying out and the first etude had a larger cut than the rest...it took us like, 2 or 3 hours for the 1st etude alone!

That is soo true!

4th chair clarinet, 2nd band...not bad, considering I was 15th last year That would be 16th/31 or something like that...last year, when there were 48 clarinets, I was #42 in the region

4th chair 2nd band (16th overall--up two chairs from Tuesday) in region auditions...sooo much better than last year, but I missed area by several chairs. What a bummer! Anyway, congrats to CLARINETGLISSANDO (aka Andyy) for getting 2nd in the region and advancing to area! Yeaaaaaa

Wow...I can't imagine a band where everyone is friends! There is always some kind of drama going on in my band.

4A takes 4 to state. Doesn't 5A take like, 6? I totally forgot about the Clear schools. Anyway, I have a feeling some Friendswoodians may try to go on 5A track this year. That would suck majorly!

Nope, we're not a 4A anymore. We got moved to 5A this year, so I'm forced to go on the 5A track this year. The positive side? NO MORE FRIENDSWOOD AT AREA!! W00t! I'm so glad phase 2 is at Dobie. It's soo much closer than Aldine!

We're going to Dallas this year, the week after I go to Arlington for Student Council convention. It's not that big of a deal or anything, but band trips are fun anyway because, hey, we're the band! I have no idea if my school is doing the 'every other year' thing anymore because we have a new head band director and this year would have been a trip year anyway. I guess the students next year will find out!

Ranked 18 out of 87...not bad considering it wasnt my BEST audition Andy, if you would have played kinda badly, you wouldn't have gotten 3rd! You did great last night. I can't believe you actually stayed for the results..we left after our band director saw the bus driver coming back! The tryouts were messed up...I saw my old band director and he said they were going to do the panel thing, but didn't last night because it wasn't voted on or whatever. And moving us from one row to another didn't exactly help the 'crowding' problem either..duh! Oh well...Saturday should be interesting. I've never done the whole 5A thing before
