I am excited for our band next year as outlets new leadership will finally have a chance to completely design and run our program. It’ll be exciting to say the least. If you look at the improvement from our performance at fall fest to BOA SA, I can’t wait to see how that transfers into next year.

Who all will be there between the hours of 2 and 6pm tomorrow and where do you plan on sitting? I finally have time to say hi to you leandermomma and danpod! -
Our stadium rehearsal is tonight, and we are still planing on doing it if the weather is not too bad this afternoon. We are making it into a sendoff event that I'll post over on the BOA SA thread. By the way, at 3:00 PM yesterday the temperature difference from Laredo to Amarillo was 55 degrees. It was 89 in Laredo and 34 in Amarillo. There are two different cold fronts pushing through this week. One that stopped in the middle of Texas for a couple days before pushing south this morning and creating an overrunning effect, and the second much stronger front pushing through tomorrow which will drop the temperature substantially and bringing the first sub-40 degree temperatures of the season for the greater San-Antonio metro. Then the skies will clear and the temperatures will rebound into the seventies this weekend like nothing ever happened. Talk about bipolar weather in the state of Texas, am I right?

I am going to reiterate this, but I think that keller has the best closer that any high school band has ever played. IT GIVETH ME ALL. THE. FEELZ. I can't fathom how amazing it's going to be when I watch it in person on Friday!! (Yes I'll get to be there nearly the entire day....so that means I will likely run into y'll at some point. I will probably be wearing my letter-man during the day.)

So I just got the opportunity to watch america's favorite cowboy band from oklahoma on da tube, and let me say that I love their show. It's beautifully performed and has all of the bells and whistles.

Just got to see a video of keller's prelims run here and their closer gives me all of the feels. I am in LOVE. This is why keller is one of my favorite bands. -
Hey I just wanted to post a video of our UIL run this past weekend. Great run for us. It's crazy to see the skyrocket improvement that we have had in just the last two weeks. I am excited to finally start adding in the GE portion of the show for BOA and for cleaning . It's my favorite time of the year. Side note - I cried on Saturday, and with absolutely no shame. It was my last UIL Marching contest. The emotions starting with another one of the seniors in my section giving a great speech to the section before warm-up started and completely let out when our head director, the great motivational speaker that he is, started talking about the seniors before we started warming up. There is so much to remember from this year. I mean, who would have thought that we would do so well in a transition year. Who would have thought that this show would have become something special. When the show concept was announced at the end of may, the band was not very enthused to say the least, but now we take complete ownership over the show and I can see all of the heart and soul being put into what we do. We rehearse so well this year and I am in love with every moment. I just can't wait for y'all to see what we have in store for San Antonio. So, sorry for taking a moment to talk specifically about our program. I just wanted to get that off of my shoulders. Another side note - Somehow in the middle of our performance on Saturday I managed to get a decent cut just underneath my eye that left a line of blood down my face at the end of the show that I wouldn't have ever noticed if someone hadn't told me as we were getting ready to push the props off of the field. I never scratched myself there and never got hit there so I have no idea how in the world it happened. It was pretty cool to say the least though. I wonder if anyone in the stands noticed. https://youtu.be/kc6F9DlN4L0. EDIT: By the way, when the camera zooms on the pBone feature at the beginning of the closer, the kid that is standing in a wide "2nd position" and is tall is me. I'm the farthest one to the right.

Just watched the TSOPE show and I don't think I have ever heard a trumpet play so high in HIGH SCHOOL!!! DCI must be under his belt already or coming very soon. -
It snowed at nationals in 2014 -- that was the first time that any of the kids from Tarpon Springs ever experienced any snow.

Will do! I am in an E&M course that is dual enrolled with UT Austin. It's a program called "OnRamps."
