Actually that’s not the only reason to visit HornRank. There is a lot of great conversation in the forums there about bands both inside and outside of Texas. I learned far more in HornRank about the intricacies of Indiana marching band (and their greatness), and how overall judging works. I’ve also met some really great human beings there who I now call lifelong friends. I’m definitely not saying HornRank is better, just that there is absolutely a place (and a need) for both that forum and this one. And there’s also the fact that Jeremiah puts a heck of a lot of effort into making the website as informative and “neutral” as possible. He hosts the entire thing himself and was just a marching band kid himself when he started it. Sorry to inject the HornRank plug here but it torqued me a little reading this entire thread. HornRank is just another great place to discuss all things band, just like TXBands is. And yeah, we also happen to rank bands during marching season which is a rather thankless task, but one we do take seriously and enjoy immensely!

Roma has the most ridiculously beautiful sound! And the small ensemble in the ballad was absolutely gorgeous. Way to represent the amazing Valley bands Roma!

Friendswood was flawless! And that guard…oh myyyy!!! 😍😍

I loved the Lebanon Trail show much, especially the ballad and the snowflake shapes they made on the field. 🥰 Great job!!

Great great run Leander. And watching Jeremy Spicer interview his two Leander kiddos from the sidelines afterwards made me a little teary. He’s obviously a proud dad, as he should be. 💙 They are great human beings and wonderful soloists!

Round rock is confirmed for this year. They go every other year so they will not be attending next year. I think they posted this in 2022 so it’s actually accurate. 😉

I can’t tell if you are intentionally trying to be annoying or if you really are that exasperating in real life but please stop! I really like Wakeland too but you are definitely putting a damper on my enthusiasm. 🥴

I admit that I am often one who doesn’t understand how a dance team correlates to color guard but DANG that Viper Vision Company is so well trained, so articulate in their movement, such an integral part of the Vandy persona…you just can’t get that with a basic dance team. Vision is anything but basic and they are the PERFECT compliment to the Viper Band. Congratulations to Vandy AND the Vision Dance Company for their phenomenal performances at the San Antonio SR!
