And we drove all of it! Austin to SA for both BOA SA and 6A state, then to Indy directly from state. Then back to Austin that Sunday. Crazy! The band flew, tho, so that helped a little.

Cedar Park is still 5A. Only Leander, Vandy and Vista Ridge moved up to 6A in the fall of 2016. It was exciting for sure!

Carmel's skill level is out of this world but oh my goodness I HATED the music! Just my opinion of course, but it weirded me out big time. I'm sure they'll win.

Yes that was what I thought. I loved that show! Man.....Avon color guard just put on a masterful production!!! Best I've seen all day. Just wow.

Come on FloMarching, fix the glitching! On another note, Centerville HS color guard seems to have been inspired in their theme choice by a north Texas band. It was a fashion show theme. Feels very familiar. Coppell? Keller? One of those I believe!

Excellent point about Vandy. That show last year was most definitely a concert hall performance! Maybe some would say it doesn't belong on a football field, but it was brilliantly played, completely mesmerizing and a wonderful change of pace from what we usually hear performed in a football stadium. Kudos to Haltom if they can bring it like Vandy did. I'll be looking forward to it!

Time for an awesome weekend of winter guard in Indianapolis! Castle, Marion Catholic, Avon, Carmel, the new Bluecoats indoor guard....yes!!!! I'll have to spend the weekend switching between the Olympics and Flo Marching I guess.

The districts down here have also moved Spring Break back one week. I wonder if the rest of the state will follow suit.

I hardly think our shows in Texas are considered boring. I definitely am getting a general sense from you of an overall disdain for a great number of our high school bands. What exactly is it that you are looking for in this forum? Not being snarky, I just honestly want to know.

We get to play y'all in Football this fall with the new realignment. So excited to see more of the Cedar Ridge, Round Rock and Hendrickson bands!!
