    What I hate is that any CTJ or FloMo parent feels that they even have to come here and defend their band! Let’s support these super hard working kids and not prejudge things we don’t understand. Get the facts first, and then if something seems genuinely troubling after you have all of the information, that’s the time to make your concerns known. I love that so many Texas bands have forged an identity that is uniquely theirs. Keep up the good work, kiddos and directors! Texas Bands are like NO OTHER!

    I know our regional UIL was moved to a Monday performance schedule one time because we were rained out the Saturday before. It was either 2013 or 2014.

    Ahhhh, I see. Thank you for clearing that up for me. That’s a shame for LT. I didn’t realize Austin had any bad weather on Saturday. Speaking of weather, it’s been gorgeous in Northern California! I admit I’m kind of dreading flying home Tuesday to the cold and drizzly weather they are currently forecasting for Austin. Ugh!

    Oh my goodness. The only benefit to BOA Waco getting canceled today is that I just got to see Tarpon Springs finals run in Orlando. Wow, wow, WOW! They are the CTJ of the entire country. I can see why they are hyped to take the Eagle at Grand Nats next month. Incredible performance. Talk about #whataband!!!

    I would love for them to have it at McLane Stadium. It’s such a nice venue for football and I’m sure it would be great for bands as well. Fingers crossed!

    Jeremiah, have y’all thought about doing a separate Horn Rank type system for just the Texas bands? Maybe on the HornRank site itself. You could add a section called TxRank.
